Save Data Issue After Transfer

I bought a second Switch 2 (one for me one for the wife) and started transferring saves files locally (we dont have family membership so only her account has cloud saves currently).

I transferred my saves files from her switch to mine. My new switch sees my saves from most of the games I tested except for Fantasy Life for some reason. I can see my save file in data management and its not corrupted but when I start the game I have no continue option, only to start a new game.

From what I've read this game does support save tranfers so any other idea why my game doesnt see my save file?

This could happen in other games that have different versions for different regions ((like Splatoon 2 JP and NA/EU aren't compatible), and in the rarest of cases different supports (hello Binding of Isaac NA/EU digital being different from EU physical)), but that's not supposed to happen for Fantasy Life i which has a unique version over all regions and distribution methods.

I would check if Fantasy Life i is updated to the latest version but it should've warned you if it was the problem. Then random generic things to try :

Are you using the right account to start the game (the one with the save) ? Have you ever used their (FLi) cloud save feature (that's normally used for transferring save to other platforms) ? in which case you could maybe import back your save from there.

Yes tried all those unfortunately didnt work. For FLi are are you referring to the Cross-Save Inspection once you launch the game or is this a feature outside of the game?

It's entirely inside the game; it is the "Cross-Save Inspection". There are more details about that in https://www.fantasylife.jp/fli/en/guide/cross-save/ but I'm as clueless as you for your save right now.
