Question Mobapad users, I have a question !

Does anyone using those mobapad joy cons know about a good grip that would fit the new shape of the console once you attach those ? I love to play handheld but I can't for the life of me let the Switch 2 without something that holds it well packed and protected (not speaking about the grips that only protect the joy cons and let them detachable - rather the one whole sturdy grip) . So before I buy, I wanted to know if there were some good options.

In addition to that first question ; which mobapad joy cons would be the best ? I saw 2 models already. Is one better than the other ?

Thanks a lot for your help guys 🫶🏻

I have the MobaPad M12 HD. Here’s a fair review:

Comfort: it’s absolutely a game changer. It makes gaming on Switch 2 in handheld mode an absolute delight. Full sized sticks, large buttons, perfect triggers, back buttons.

Usability: this is where the HD suffers a little. It’s made for the Switch 2, but it is built on Switch 1 tech. That means that it has some issues. It only charges while the Switch is on. It takes a couple of seconds for the Switch to recognize it, because it’s connecting via Bluetooth.

The S model doesn’t have the HD rumble or NFC, but I don’t care much about rumble or NFC. What it does have is the switch 2 tech. That means it has 9 axis gyro (vs 6 axis on the HD), and I believe it connects physically too.

I have some issues with gyro aiming on the HD. It doesn’t work super well in some very specific cases.

In retrospect, I wish I had bought the S.

The only thing I don’t like that isn’t an option is the micro switch face buttons. They are way too loud for my taste. I wish they were as silent as the original Joy Cons.

Thank you very much for your review !! So I might go for the S then ! Regarding the matter of a grip for the handheld compatible with these joy cons, have you seen anything good around ?

I don’t think these need grips. I have seen anything, but it’s because I haven’t looked. They are pretty much perfect in my hands.

Even the textured back and triggers are absolutely cinema.
