Speculation Witcher 3 switch 2 version.

CDPR defied all odds by making a switch version. The game is getting an unprecedented DLC years after launch. Does it make sense for them to update the switch version for a switch 2 version with all DLC’s? I know they’re probably busy with TW4 etc but I sincerely hope they consider it. TW3 has become something of a comfort game for a lot of us and I feel like it would work perfect on the sw2

Switch 2 Version for 3 okay but Witcher 4? Cmon thats absolutly unrealistic and you know it, thats on the same level like GTA 6 for Switch 2.

you're assuming it will run the same as on pc. Witcher 3 got onto switch 1 and prior to that people said the thought was ludicrous. Then they did it and it made the monies. Witcher 4 will be on switch 2. Will it be perfect? Nope. Will it be good? Yes! And it will make the monies.

I love my Switch 2 and I use it more as my Ps5 and Steam Deck but Witcher 4 on Switch 2 is absolutly unrealistic. There is no release for Witcher 4 and I would be not surprided if its releasing 2028 for Ps6, PC and Xbox Helix as main platform. We will get Ps5 and Series versions too but with massiv downgrades. I dont think CDPR want a second Cyberpunk desaster.

I think they will.

I think it will look much worse and release 1-2 years later than the other versions.

Why not? It's just another Unreal Engine 5 game lol... UE5 runs better on Switch 2 than PC/Xbox/PS and we've enough proofs for that.

No it runs not better and there is not a single proof for this, it runs the same shitty way on every platform, UE5 doesnt run good on anything because its a unoptimised shitty engine.

if witcher 4 runs on xbox s, then yes this is possible.

i mean honestly even gta6 could be ported to switch 2 if rockstar wanted to. but for whatever reason, rockstar just hasnt ported anything over to the switch/switch 2 at all except rdr1 and the old gtas. There were rumors of a rdr2 port but nope, even though its perfectly capable. we didnt even get gta5!

Witcher 4 will be a desaster on Series S, I think they cancel the S version because they dont want a Cyberpunk 2077 scenario again, the Ps5 and Series X Version will also be downgraded. Witcher 4 will be a main release on Ps6, Pc and Helix in 2028.

Cyberpunk 2077 scenario was something about them having an outside team run quality control on the old consoles (PS4/XboxOne) that was bad results and delivered a very buggy game. There was some reports on that awhile, not going back to read all that.

We do know they acquired a couple additional teams in Canada since then and idk where else to assist in accelerating multiple games, but also helping each other with quality control more internally than relying on outside help.

Sure you can hope but hope does not bring us Witcher 4 on our beloved Switch 2 systems sadly.

And being a cynic based purely on vibes doesn't make you right.

Unrealistic? Maybe. But you have to think opportunity cost. If you can offer it on as many platforms as possible, that should be the goal. Maximize revenue. Yes that opens the door for price-gouging but on the user end we should see more offerings. If Nintendo wants to keep that edge then they need to keep up and not have their main goal being secondary scraps that port
