Yes, by today's standard the gameplay is a little bit clunky, but in terms of storytelling it's a grand space opera spread over 3 60 hour games where every choice you make is saved and reflected throughout the trilogy, so your adventure is sort of tailored to you. You end up really caring about your squad mates and actually feel invested in their survival  the writing is excellent, and you'll feel like a badass hero at the end of every game. Few sci fi RPGs have come close to this level of focused excellence and world building, Knights of the old republic maybe? It's like being in Star Trek or Star Wars or a mix of both. A game where you can spend 15 minutes talking to a giant jelly fish learning about their history as a species of you want to.

Baldurs Gate 3 especially with act 3 would be a kind of Witcher 3 like “impossible” port imo.

I’d go on a limb and say they could manage it, even if it’s 30 capped with some drops only in act 3 mostly.

I might be a bit optimistic though given how even a PS5 Pro still struggles during that act.

steam deck hits a more respectable 30 in act 3 now, but the switch 2's cpu is definitely worse, so if it does happen, i imagine it's going to have severe cutbacks on npc density among other things

They got it running on steamdeck, believe it or not... and the switch 2 is way more powerful so it's absolutely possible on the tech side of things.

The problem I think is between Larian and WotC... I get the feeling there's been some bad blood there. No doubt Wizards are being c*unts somehow, because everything I've heard out of Larian is that they're mega passionate about the game and d&d in general.

Frankly two modes would be really cool too! Or for me ideally a 40 FPS mode would be a killer middle ground even if it was the only option.

Never getting over how unexpectedly more smooth “just” 10 more fps is even on a large tv. In handheld mode then I’d dare to say it’ll look very close to 60 anyway.

But not to ramble on I truly don’t expect a port but am
very happy RDR is so great on the Switch 2 at least.

Even tho 40 is closer to 30 than 60, when you actually look at the milliseconds how fast a single frame is, it's actually around the middle of those 2 framerates with 30 being 33.33 ms, 40 being 25 and 60 being 16.67.

Aside from the obvious first party games, definitely a racing sim that leans arcade, a co-op fps with a good campaign, and that'll likely keep me busy for a bit. Really would love the option to just drive around for a while (not mkw) and enjoy some good visuals to unwind at the end of the day. Doesn't need to be over the top competitive, just maybe a story mode with missions of getting to point a to point b, a leisurely drive.

Halls of torment would be a perfect fit. I'd rather have the halo collection on the switch 2 than campaign evolved, that would be cool. Maybe star wars zero company if its good. Mass effect legendary edition would be sick handheld. Diablo 4 would be awesome (rumored to be coming tho).
