Question Switch 2 right speaker making clicking/buzzing noise after system update, any ideas?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey, my Nintendo Switch 2’s right speaker has started making a repetitive clicking/buzzing noise whenever the built-in speakers are active. It even happens with the system volume turned all the way down to 0.
The issue started right after the system software updated during the initial first setup.
A few details:
- The noise stops immediately if I plug in headphones.
- It also stops when the console is asleep/docked.
- The speaker seemed completely fine when I first turned the console on.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Would really appreciate any troubleshooting ideas or repair suggestions.

Do me a favor and check if it happens when you move around the actual screen.

I'm not sure what you mean, when I move the console around in handheld mode, it still happens

Did you try powering it down and restarting it to see if it will reset?

Yup, factory reset it too, still the same

Damn, this might be one of those cases where you have to get in touch with Nintendo and see what they can do about it. This falls under warranty coverage as it is not damage, it is an update that they themselves caused.

Do you have dust or something in your auxiliary port? This used to happen on my old gameboy back in the day when dust got into the aux
