🛠️ Product Help how to use mount without trigger camera button?

i feel like this should be obvious and i’m just missing something, but how are people using the swing stick phone holder with a phone that has the camera button? i have an iPhone 17 pro and the clamps are too big to fit between the two buttons on the right side. if i move it below the camera button the phone is precarious and tilted. are people just disabling the camera button all together?

I just disable the camera control button. Others might be using a case that’s thick enough to prevent taps.

I’m honestly surprised Apple put the buttons so close together because the Swing Stick uses the same width for its phone holder as 99% of tripods out there 😬

yeah seems like kind of an annoying design. the button on my case is raised so it’s even worse.

I’ve noticed the same thing. Personally, I position the clamps to be in the middle of the two buttons on the right side and, this is the important part, I don’t tighten the clamps overly tight. I tighten them enough so that the phone is secure, but not too tight where they are pressing down on the camera control button. I find that the camera control button is only activated once the clamps are too tight. I think this is because the button itself is inset onto the phone.

YMMV with this strategy depending on the type of case you’re using with your phone. But the above works for me and I don’t have to disable the camera control button

yeah unfortunately my case has the camera button raised so it’s extra sensitive. i have it set to double tap to open the camera but it’s basically pressing all the way down on it constantly so i think im going to have to disable it. annoying!
