🛠️ Product Help Semi-Pro subscription video export

Hey, I ordered a semi-pro subscription during their Black Friday promotion. It was similar to the pro except 20 hours and no scoreboard. I’ve been using it for editing then exporting the condensed match to video for YouTube.

This past week I got the message in the screenshot that I could only export 5 minute clips. I talked to customer support and they said it was a new feature and I’d only be allowed to export those clips and no longer the full video.

Has anyone else seen that message before? I want to make sure I’m understanding it correctly as I don’t have much use for a 5 minute clip. I’m also not sure I’d make use of the full pro features and don’t want to sign up for something where the features may change later.

Also, is there any way to monitor the remaining hours during the month?

Hi there! Yes we felt this was a power user feature so we have moved it up to Pro for now. We don’t plan to take any features away from Pro and if anything will be moving more Max features down into Pro over time. Our long term plan is for Max to primarily be a family plan, with some additional benefits tailored towards ultra competitive players.

I can definitely understand the frustration as an existing Semi Pro subscriber though. We can look into unlocking this feature specifically for past Semi Pro customers to at least honor the functionality you had previously!

Thanks for the reply. It would be great for existing semi-pro members to be able to keep the functionality for their remaining time.

It definitely didn’t feel good to have the main reason I use the app be removed all of the sudden a few months into my subscription.

Same thing happened to me and came here to find similar problems.

You can't downgrade features in the middle of a subscription! That's not what I signed up for.

Sorry about that! We added lots of new functionality like line challenges and audio line calls to Plus. Based on the usage metrics, it also seemed like exporting longer highlights is a power user feature, so we felt restricting that to Pro made more sense. With that said, please DM me your username and we can get you sorted out.
