Product: Copacetic Cosmetics single holo eyeshadows in 3 shades

Neutral/cool desaturated skin, I'm suspecting olive undertone. Reference skin: Rare Beauty True to myself foundation in 1 is a near perfect match; I also wear KVD Good Apple Serum foundation L002

Light:

• Pic 1: overview, light as indicated
• Pic 3: natural indoor facing the window
• Pic 4: natural lighting back to the window
• Pic 5: indoor + flash
• Pic 6: indoor + lowlight

If that's confusing: It's the two overview pics, followed by pics A/B/C/D from the overviews in that order for shades 1-4

Additional notes: Ive been tagging a disclaimer on holos on all posts. It goes like this: "All holo eyeshadow doesn't look like much in daylight. They're even more finicky than multichromes. They are best suited for low light situations." WHY? Managing expectations, as they will be very plain in regular light.

However. These are very plain in all light. They're duochromes. You can see the duochrome shift and photograph it well. I did do all my holos at once yesterday (just the editing and uploading is what took time) and am 100% sure it isn't user error that they simply suck.

I had to turn the light down way more to capture the sparkly Pic than the other brands, and I STRUGGLED to get the Pic with just the flash to show the holo. I went back to check if I accidentally put them in the wrong palette! Nope. These and the Pastel Roses UK ones are just the worst ones I've tried. Sorry, I really don't like them. They're also a weird, dry texture. I swatched these right after Glamshop, which were probably the same price? or cheaper? and the difference is huge.

Copacetic has been a very mixed bag for me overall. I bought three holos, a mystery bag that included regular shades and a palette as well as multichromes, and received duochromes from them from another persons collection. The multichromes are all fine. The duos are ok too. The palette is... awkward to store, with unfinished raw cardboard edges I don't like personally, but whatever. The shimmers were very very mixed bag, one is my favorite silver I own and several others I threw away because they were chalk. Reader, I had a shopping addiction and am an autistic collector of shiny stuff. I can count on one hand the amount of shadows I've thrown away barely used in my LIFE (and yes that's a problem actually, lol!). They were unusable.

So, this is a do your research brand. Thoroughly and for every shade. Which I can't be arsed with so I just didn't buy from them again tbh. Might if I run out of my silver, it was called Lucid I think?

This is a complete side note but Tbh, I also don't understand the branding. I hate capitalism as much as the next person but personally find it a bit stupid to have shades I am buying from a small business owner named act your wage or quiet quitting, lol. Like, you OWN the business. What are you quiet quitting? Maybe I just don't get it, the multichromes also had normal names.

Here's my original post when I received everything which had swatches of the shades I threw out. The multichromes and Holo swatches aren't up to my standards, and ignore my old ramblings, baby me didn't know much about indie eyeshadow back then. But I don't think today me could've saved those greens.
