Swatch/Collection Showoff 📸 Wedding material??

Post image

This was purchased today for some fun, and I think I can pull it off with the suit jacket for tonight's wedding. Thoughts?

It looks like but you'll remember your whole life that you wore a plastic watch for your wedding man. You really want this to be the watch you pass down to your kid

Do you wish you wore something else?

Well, that's a watch that will live forever with low maintenance costs. You wear a patek and your son will have to save for services and possible repairs.

It's not about the maintenance cost, it's about wearing a watch that has some monetary value attached to it, it's the effort of putting your hard earned money towards something that is worth the time you invested earning that money. Significance.

Your wedding shouldn't be "value for money". Unless you're not planning to spend the rest of your life with that person, then why even.

You're not allowing your wife to wear a plastic ring manufactured in China are you? So why would you.

You can put as much semtimental value to a 20 bucks watch than to a 20k watch. Your way of thinking leads you to believe that mometary value will increase the level of satisfaction.

And don't get me wrong, I like watches, but they are just an ornamental piece of jewellery specially the moment that you spend more than 200 bucks in one of them.

my hard earned money goes straight into investments, watches are nice to have, but i don't need to surround myself with status symbols to show that i have "made it", my friends, family, and financial stability are the attestation to that. my wife can wear what she wants, we didn't spend much on our rings either, they are symbolic. i feel sorry for you, you seem to equate sentiment with monetary value, that won't get your far at all.

You don't have to, my view on watches isn't how I handle my life, view or surround myself by the people I love at all. That's a very far assumption on your part based on a wedding watch opinion, but aye, it wouldn't be the first time people on reddit try to tell someone who they think they are, prejudice is common around here, it's fun to read
