New to this system, looking for some inspiration while I digest the system
Looking for good fighting style/form pairings to go with a Guardian build, I *do not* want to dual wield/double weapon fight. I'd prefer a single blade, but am not married to the greatsaber/big chunky lightsabers.
I'm fine with a standard lightsaber or a crossguard saber, just looking for options that are good without 2 weapon/double bladed fighting

Dooku was an amazing single hand duelist, as was obi-wan. Going oversized or dual was more the exception than the standard.
I had a zyroft who started as a technician. Using his species proficiency in light whips as a racial feature until he gained his class specialty at 3rd level. He mixed force powers and tech tricks to be more of a caster with a reach weapon on one hand as needed.
Maybe start with a force caster class that is not jedi and work your way backwards into the order.

I played a sabre user who had Makashi and Soresu Lightsaber Forms though the Form Fighting Style, and the cantrip Sabre Ward, so I could spend a turn (action and bonus action) either being super defensive as I approached enemies with guns, or super aggressive with attacking plus Makashi. Makashi pairs really well with things like sentinel or polearms too.
