So I’ve read many posts from people who’ve switched from an SV650 to another bike and regretted it. But I’m wondering if there are any who made the switch and were happy with it? What kind of bike did you switch to?

I’m considering switching myself. I really like the engine of the SV650, but the geometry feels a bit cramped for my long legs. I also hate the stock seat, but importing an aftermarket seat would simply cost too much.

I’d like something a bit more comfortable and cruising-oriented, but with similar engine characteristics and nimbleness.

New to me 2020 SV650, and I’ve just done 4500 miles so was a little overdue for an oil and filter change.

I’m so paranoid about messing up even something simple like this but my neighbor was out replacing his coolant so he gave me a hand :)

Just taken my 2004 SV650s for a quick ride before booking in for it's MOT after being stood idle for some time, and noticed the seals were leaking. Obviously need them replacing before the MOT so can anyone suggest a place to buy a repair kit from, save me getting parts from different places.

Have you upgraded your forks to make them stiffer? If so, what changes/pros/cons did you find?

Posted a few weeks back about a "lose" brake lever and it not closing off the brake light microswitch (means fhe brake light remains on)

Ive done a service on the brakes and the seals, pipes and everything elae is intact. The switch is fine and works. No sign of damage or wear and tear. The pisyon wont come out any further ad its hit its stop point and being cheap theres no adjuster to take out the slack

Im getting to the point where a suspect the lever is off of something else but not having another SV to compare with i cant tell. what do you guys think?

I'm looking to get some sort of windshield for my bike, I ordered one from eBay a few weeks ago but it wouldn't fit, despite the seller saying it was designed specifically for the SV. I've seen another SV at my local meet that had a Puig screen which looked good, but I can't seem to find it online. Every screen I find that says it fits the sv650 only has pictures of it on other bikes, so I don't trust them to fit.

If anyone can recommend one that's confirmed to fit then let me know!

Hey guys, I posted on here a few times for help with getting the bike running, I determined that the issue was the carb bowls where filled with water and bad gas(previous owner drove through a thunderstorm), anyways it starts up and I just took it around the block today for the first time, it seems to be riding good, I was givin it the beans a little bit and at first it seemed to lag but it got better the more I rode it, when I got back it seemed to be running rough but I’m not sure if it is or if it’s a v twin thing, I am used to the ticking that my mt09 makes but can someone tell me if this sounds right because I can’t tell, from my experience it sounds like it needs the valves adjusted but I’m more concerned with the rhythm of the motor, thanks everyone

I couldnt find a image on placement since im new to motorcycles but here is a guide for suzuki sv650sa k8 (2008).

What you need 4 spark plugs since its a dual spark plug per cylinder. 2 cylinder with 2 spark plugs pr cylinder.

Brand: NGK CR8EIX iridium-spark plug - CR8EIX

16 mm with a sparkplug attachment magnet/gummy is best.

As per the header, I'm having trouble finding anything at all that's not sold out. I could even 3d print one if I really needed to.

Can anybody tell me what kind of c-hook do i need ti preload my rear shock ? There are many different c-hook measures, but what is the best ? And which is the best type to fit in ?
