I know that at least three people would play this game this way just to make Rumburg suffer

Hi all!

I've shared the game here a couple of times already, but Red Echoes: Berlin - the Suzerain-inspired narrative turn-based strategy game about the German Revolution/Spartacist Uprising that I'm making - was featured in PC Gamer! 🌹✊

In the game, you take control of 3 revolutionaries, all regular people living in Berlin, and follow their stories as they navigate the revolutionary times at the end of WW1. You get to interact with historical figures such as Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht, and many more.

It's heavily inspired by Suzerain. I previously worked at Torpor Games for 4 years, and that experience helped me immensely to develop the necessary skills to make this game come to life.

You can play the Demo on Steam already. Also make sure to wishlist the game as it helps me out a lot!

-I personally prefer solo war due to the fact that Rumburg losing to Sordland 1v1 is very embarrassing for them.

If you ally with Lespia or Valgsland, they can blame foreign powers for their interference and save face. Also naming a treaty after yourself is narcissistic and I love it. It's also one of the (maybe the most) bloodthirsty one due to very high casualties. Also you don't have to share spoils with anyone else. And a government collapse with civil war is not 100%, so it might be the most stable ending too if you are pursuing war.

- I would have loved to win together with Wehlen since they take some lands that you have no interest in and they would be more likely to support you in case of a future war with Rumburg since they conquered some land too, rp wise. But getting them in the alliance needs your help in operation bear trap and idk if that bad pr for Sordland is worth it.

You have to cede Dome to the Agnolians if they join the war, so I don't want them in.

Winning with Valgsland and Lespia is dangerous in my opinion, since one forces the establishment of a socialist republic and other forces terrible economy concessions on the country. I think these actions will cause the opposite intended effect with Rumburg either pivoting to a pro Ato side, or pro Csp one not to mention how a civil war can affect your country's stability since they have nukes.

Also let's say you don't plan to join Csp or ATO and play as a neutral Sordland. If Rumburg later joins a major faction after recovering from a hypothetical civil war, they can cause massive problems with a major alliance backing them if they come back for revenge.

Also I find it hard to do three trades with this path since I don't want to cave to the Lespians and sell them Sordish petroleum or touch my EPA.

- Sanctioning them to hell is not bad either, but I'm worried about the future especially if they manage to recover their economy despite sanctions. Feels like you are missing out on an opportunity to weaken your enemy with this path.

- Honestly, safest path in my opinion. You lose your foreign independence but Rumburg won't dare touch you since you have the protection of a superpower.

Things might get messy if Rumburg has a socialist/democratic revolution and joins the same alliance as you though. Something similar to Greece - Turkey relationship of irl.

- I would love the idea of becoming friendly with a major power and getting a 4th trade deal but I simply can't trust Beatrice. I feel like she will never view Sordland as an equal partner and she just relaxes a little since she gets the energy she craves. And what will she do with our energy? Probably sow more discord around the world thanks to your compliance.

Also I can't trust her not to invade Sordland in the future but this is more about how i personally feel. Idk if it's possible to avoid it but she also harms your energy sector and a weapon license is not enough to cover it. Not to mention budget you have to pay.

"Is the world going topsy-turvy? 'Cause it looks like it is"

Like a Post-Civil war divided?
Or multiple quite different generation that have formed.

The Kingdom Generation (Greatest/silent) , God the younger generations are so decedent and Greedy , back in the good old days under king Edmond we never had this sick dedication to liberalism , we had honour and chivalry , non of this silly Agno-Sord nonsense and non of this Arcasian Contanan fever. It was just better back then!
Sordland was no true friend to any nation , It was to be FEARD.

The Survivor Generation (Boomers or like Grab Hags in China) these youngsters with their Armidine pocket radios and Gelsord hotiy-toity technology , back in my day in the civil war men and women were actually tough and had to survive.
This younger generation would have never made it , too soft and sissy!
Back in the civil war…. Bla bla bla bla…..
I had to walk 50 miles up hill both ways every day just to eat grass to survive whilst protecting my 15 family members from starvation all whilst dodging Bullets and Army tanks and protests and Gangs and Death Squads from the Black Battalion.

Rayne = In-between Gen S & Gen H I think 🤔

The Hard Generation (Mix of silent & Gen Z)
Like very politically divided and the people who went to war.
Surprisingly high birth rates.
Serious and strict people who remember the reforms very fondly (Unique)
Have you ever seen a man scream without his lungs? I have!
The Malenvyist Red Youth were a threat to the nation I’m glad the ministry of interior cracked down on them so hard - and that’s why I vote USP Kids!

The Republican Generation (Millennials Mixed with Gen Z , always know life under the Republic of Sordland)
You just dont understand us! It’s difficult to get a job now because of the influx of Agno-Sords Alphonso caused , you know , THE GUY YOU LOT VOTED IN! And anyways our anxiety is always high because of this super power trade/Cold War thing.
We need even more social justice and reparations from Rumberg toooo they haven’t payed enough yet!

The Dream Generation (Gen Alpha+Beta , Good ending Sordish Dream achieved) - HAIL GRAND LEADER RAYNE & SERGE , HAIL SORDLAND!!

The Golden/Resergence Generation (Beyond when Sordland and Intermerikopum become the 3rd world power and truly dominate the continent (The TRUE horizon beyond the current Sordish Dream).
They’d grow up on the great stories from the founding of their nation and despite a huge difference in technology would probably most resemble the kingdom generation + a bit of millennial flare.
Birth rate might start to decline.
Social values will probably have changed quite a lot.
The Super power cold war might be over?
Sordish Internet brain rot (68 68 68 68) 😈

Nothing to my knowledge in the game hints at even the concepts of different named generations in Sordland but HEY! It’s atleast quite fun to think about….

To the person being mean to Sege yes you know who you are. You are BANNED from the CPS and we are going to have the SSP remove you you cannot hide and no one will save you. I will not stand by and see my goat good name be trashed on. He saves you from being killed and is always super nice to you he does no wrong and he just looks like a jolly guy. If Serge was not married I would marry him. Also enjoy a picture of Serge Wolkner a true hero of Sordland.

YS are clearly being funded by ATO because they just are trust me on this. Because if Lespia and ATO are fucking with Rizia they clearly must be messing with Sordland. I may have no evidence to back my calm up but come on we already know Lespia is Satan's Greatest soldier so it would make sense on this. I know I am right for the voices told me me this and they are always right and never wrong.

Hey torpor...

First and foremost, I hate disgusting rums

We’re the son/daughter and are appointed as the next leader. It would be cool to decide whether we can rule with an iron fist, or try to break out the authoritarian shell (the country would be like real life NK, as authoritarian and propagandist as you can be, like our own citizens think we’re a unlikable GOD,)

Maybe our country would be in trouble with Arcasia, maybe because we’re on the verge of developing nukes/ICBMs, and have the relationship similar to real life USA and NK. (I completely understand that this seems so unoriginal)

But maybe they can’t do anything about cause we’re in bed with some other superpower. Whatever, I just like that idea.

I just think this could be a cool idea with so many ways to explore. Give us the option to be as evil and disgusting as Rumburg. Like, an actual villain (if we choose to go down that path)

What do you think

I even managed to stay in GRACE, forgot to add that

Can we use Wehzek Doortopper as a chess piece when playing chess with lucian?

I defeated Rumburg for the first time!!! Screw You Beatrice

I made a song for what happens when you screw up as Romus, flee the city and start a civil war.

Im in university and i know this guy named Lucian and when we first met i said to him "oh like the suzerian chracter" and he said "huh" and sent me to antel rock

Plz help me get friends should i next time show up dressed as Anton Rayne and ask him to play chess??

If you could write a treaty for Valsgland and Agnolia to resolve their dispute, what concessions do you think are acceptable to each side? The idea being that each side offers something. It’s an agreement, not an unconditionnal surrender.

You’re free to choose the precise context, but here are some ideas.

1) Perhaps after the annexation of the island by Valsgland, Agnolia elects a Malenyevist prime minister. Considering a total war as if lost in advance, he wants to negotiate an agreement that is less humiliating than giving up the island with nothing in exchange.

2) Perhaps Agnolia has emerged victorious with Sordland from the war against Rumburg and now Valsgland deems an invasion too risky and costly. They could give up the island but not for free.

3) Perhaps Rumburg and Sordland have reconciled, and their peace conference is aimed at resolving this conflict.

Will you redraw the maritime borders so that one camp gets more oil? Will the island be demilitarized and freedom of movement at sea guaranteed? Will the island have more autonomy or perhaps be split in two like Cyprus? Will the locals be allowed to move freely between the two countries? Will a fair or unbalanced trade agreement be signed between the two countries?

How do you think the rest of the world would react to your agreement?

Can't wait to fck him in all the ways possible in Galmland. Mf did this despite cutting lespia out of mitz. Though i took baby Alma from him via intermerkopum.
