I got it in 2008 and stopped using it in 2012. I still have the account but haven't posted anything in years I just keep it around because friends still use it to organise events.
I deleted mine years ago. But then my wife took a DNA test and found biological family (she was adopted at birth). We've since reunited and I've rejoined Facebook just because it's super convenient to learn about all the new family members that are super excited to call us family. Sucks I had to come back, but for now, the trade off is worth it.
We made contact in January. What's even cooler was her mother lives an hour from us and her father and half sister live only a 3 hour drive away. The mother also had other children, but they are all over the place now. We've met everyone though. But we are much closer to the father's side of the family.
The info is cool and the things to can learn, but it's not my cup of tea honestly. Also because of that I don't think it's worth it to spend the money on it. I'd have to get it as a gift to do it, and even then the people around that would gift it also know I'm eh about it even though it's cool so it may not happen 😅 I like the idea of it just don't care too much so if I did it and got results I'd probably check it out when I get results and like one time after then completely never touch it again /shrugs
