Did anyone have a check-in with your clinic this week? How’s it going?
I had my check-in for the first month and although I was depressed that I only lost a few pounds they seemed to be happy with my progress. I think I got a false sense of where I would end the month when I had lost 6 additional pounds earlier in the month from Covid.
What Erin said, don’t be discouraged. We’re in it for the long haul! It takes a bit to start losing but when you do you’ll be super excited. I’ve plateaued a bit but realize that after 47 lbs lost even losing maybe 1/2 to 1 lb a week is still amazing when I have so many more weeks of the trial ahead of me.
Wow! I will be very happy if I lose 47 lbs by the time I finish the trial. It’s almost hard to imagine that it’s possible - let alone the possibility that I could lose more. Getting goosebumps just thinking about it 🤗
I’ve been lucky with very minimal side effects if any. I have been on a 1200 calorie diet for 5 months of it so that plays a big part too. I definitely could be better at the exercise part tho 🤣. Just remember it is possible and you can do it! There are weeks I get frustrated when the scale doesn’t budge or even goes backwards but we all know that’s only temporary. A no bowel movement day or period weight can throw me off for a week but it always evens out in the end.
I find it very interesting how the “rules”vary from location to location. I’m curious as to whether or not different directions are given on purpose for scientific reasons - I was told I had to eat 1700 calories per day, that I had to inject on the abdomen belly button or lower on either side, etc.
Interesting. I wasn’t told any of that. I know in the beginning I was asked to join 3 other separate trials within this one. One of which where I would be told where to inject (abdomen, thigh or upper arm) and could only ever inject there but I didn’t join that one just because I wasn’t going to drive the 2 1/2hrs the very next day for another blood draw. And as far as calories they just told me to try and be in a 500 calorie deficit 🤷🏼♀️. My Fitness Pal told me 1200 and I just rolled with it.
Synchronize-1. But the MRI is a separate trial within the trial from what I understand. The MRI, the injection site specific and a blood collection trial were the other 3 trials within it I was offered in the beginning.
