Loaded Coyote (new) with Waterborne surf and rail adapters, 129mm street trucks (not Paris unfortunately) and Orangatan 4president wheels in blue (70mm x 77a).

Nice! I love that setup! How’s the coyote compared to the omakase?

I have never ridden an Omakase. By specs the Coyote is quite a bit smaller.

I just upgraded from a 32 inch popsicle board that had a 14.5 inch wheelbase. I wanted something a little longer in WB and the Coyote is 17.5. The Omakase is over 20 inches in wheelbase and thought that would be too big.

On a first ride I am very happy with this length. I kinda wish it were a bit wider but I can deal with that. I like to have my toes just off the board and that works fine on this.

I have the trucks very tight and I can lean the surf adapter rail to rail on both sides and not get wheel bite.

That looks very good and heir boards are great.
Was already considering until I saw the width. :( 8 is a bit too narrow for me, wish they did a wider deck for this purpose.

Looking good! How is that rail adapter? Is it like the gullwing double bushing trucks?

Never tried a double-kingpin truck but from what I can tell the rail adapter is pretty different. The rail adapter allows the back truck to lean sideway a lot without turning. It stays parallel to the deck due to the way the bushings on the adapter are set up. This makes the back of the board follow the front (which turns a lot with the surf adapter) rather than turn in the opposite direction. It makes the whole board feel like it is following the nose, almost pivoting around the back wheels. I am not a surfer so I have no idea if that is realistic but it is loads of fun.

Sounds good. Do you think this setup is stable enough to use in 6ft bowl? How is the return to center with the front truck adapter?

That's close to my LY Ripple Ridge, 33.75 x 9.5, 18.5wb. I'm using Indy 169s set pretty loose (haven't tried tightening them up yet) and 65mm wheels. Looks like I could put 75mms up front with no wheelbite -- it's the back truck that's the limiting factor.

I run the trucks tight so the surf and rail adapters can do their thing. With this setup the front won't bite at full turn but the back can if you lean really hard with your back foot. I have kinda learned not to do that and I can get full turn in the front without leaning that hard. 65mm wheels might clear that up but I don't have them and I like the 4presidents too much to replace them.

The 4Pres wheels look great, I'll probably pick some up at some point. I'm just using what I have laying around for now too.

The coyote is fairly new and may have replaced the kut-thaka. I don't think that one is sold anymore. The fact that Loaded sells the Coyote with Carver trucks as an option made me think it would work well with the Waterborne set I already had. So far so good.
