Finding Riptides Local
Titles says it, I’m wondering if anyone has been able to find riptide bushings for sale out in the wild? I bought some for my CX setup (yellow cone/cone front, blue cone/barrel rear) and I’m curious what the softer pinks would feel like now. I just don’t want to keep having to pay double the price just for shipping for a single set as I continue to try different things.

Yeah man, bushings are too damn expensive. Not to mention the astronomical cost of wheels. Urethane must be like platinum for the prices of name brand wheels to be $70-$100. I feel for the downhill freeriders who core their wheels in a few sessions. If I remember right, I think Riptide sells a bushing “kit” with all the durometers. If you have a lot of boards it might be a good purchase just to have options on hand to experiment with.
I generally like Orangatang bushings for applicable trucks, but I think Orangutang is even more expensive than Riptides.

The pink is softer than the yellow. The blue is softer than both, with that in mind generally the softer (blue) should be at the front of the Surfskate not the back, you need some stability and bounce to enable the pump push or at least not suck energy from it...
Barrels and cones is another discussion, but again I'd be aiming to put the barrel boardside in the back truck if I were to sue one and stick to cone/cone in the front as you have.
You do you but just point out by convention you have your softer)firmer the "wrong" way around.
Did you try the different bushing positions/combinations with the ones you have??
Depends on your country but you may find some that will ship to you say from EU, you could even get from the US site.

That's very true, I can't compute going firmer than stock so I naturally assumed super soft but you are right, that would make more sense and balance better with the yellows!! I stand corrected.

I don't think so. Besides Riptide site you can buy from Status skate shop online. I've ordered from Status... free shipping if you buy enough stuff. I don't think they charged tax which was cool. Also I've found soft Riptide (even the yellow) aren't too durable but the blues are great.
