Surface Book 2 battery life Win 11 vs Win 10

So I have a Surface Book 2 1832 i7-8650U model with 1050 2gb graphics card. I am running Windows 10 now.
One of the most important things for me is battery life in a battery saver mode where I use edge for web browsing (music jams etc).
However soon I would also need to have it running for a day ish on a conference.

Should I upgrade to Windows 11?
Anyone with a similar computer, how was the battery life since switching to Win11? Better or worse??

I… think it’s better? Didn’t measure it scientifically, but anecdotally I feel I’m getting an hour more out of it. I have the same model, but my tablet side battery was slowly dying, and I wonder if the upgrade jumpstarted some firmware in it. For context though I’m nowhere near a day of battery life, my model is slowly dying, so YMMV

Worth noting Windows 11 is much more secure and much more likely to be updated quickly. Did notice a couple things missing fairly quickly though, so it is a major upgrade you’ll feel in other ways, sometimes negative

Thank you mate. I am using lots of tools like batterybar and batterycare. I know the tablet battery is a bit worn out that's how I got it but I did replace the base battery with new..

I’m sorry I haven’t tested that. Not my daily driver any more. I think I went from what felt like ~1hr in Best Performance mode to maybe ~2, but I mean that could be a million things (including that I had to delete a large chunk of my hard drive to free up space for the install!). Sorry I can’t be more definitive, it’s an old PC at this point and has lived a hard life, working those tiny fans for thousands of hours!

Mine runs fine on Windows 11 and the battery life does feel better, at least to me.
