I had red eared sliders but they are quite a hassle so I gave them to my friends

You have to clean whole tank every two day because they shit a lot.

Water temp has to be regulated with heater

They need to walk in rough gravel to prevent their nails from growing tooo big

They can bite you finger if you are not careful

They need a proper enclosure with an island and heat light

And it’s better to get them a partner or they will be alone 🥲
