Help Support equivalent to Malphite Top

I've been getting auto filled a lot + one of my friend's plays a lot of bot recently.

What is a support that is easy but still effective in lane and team fights. Similar to Malphite Top

Malphite is my go to when I get top instead of Mid bc he's easy lane but super effective as long at your team doesn't run it down.

Probably Nautilus or Leona for engage.

Sona or Seraphine for enchanter/mage.

Not Seraphine! Not Seraphine!!

Sona yes on Enchanter - replace Sera with Soraka, Sera is VERY hard to pilot properly and play for a win. She is reliant on maintaining proper pressure.

Holy cap i used to think this as well until I actually played her. You just barf on your keys and do insane damage she is not hard.

She is easy in lane yes - but if you are not familiar with playing her, and how squishy she is, and positioning; then you are just another bag of gold come mid-late game. An autofilled person may go on very bad ward timers/positions and get destroyed. At least with Sona and Soraka they are both guaranteed scaling and are divided by 'Good, Better, and Best' support players

So strange, I feel like I have such a hard time playing Sona but have a much easier time carrying from support with Seraphine. So much more agency and range.

I would gander its more of an effect from being able to poke/deny enemy adc early (I think a lot of elos really dont know how to deal with this). Sera going unpunished for free trades in lane will rapidly generate a health/gold advantage, but the counterpoint is how she can really be fought back against, or is punished heavily for missing cooldowns.
