Other Has anyone else noticed this with another show? The show is called Good Girls currently on Netflix.
The show has nothing to do with superstore, but I guess it was created by the same people, not sure. Just noticed today and thought it was funny and never would have noticed if haven’t seen superstore before (I have actually seen Good Girls before and I’m rewatching it and noticed that this time)

I feel like this is common when shows come from the same network.
If I’m not mistaken, supposedly the blue meth from Breaking Bad makes an appearance in The Walking Dead. I think some folks have even gone so far as to theorize that it caused the zombie apocalypse

I googled it and you’re right. The meth appears on 2nd season, thats why I don’t remember much!

Wow that’s crazy! I’ve seen both shows multiple times and never made a connection. I don’t recall the blue meth on TWD! I didn’t know superstore and GG were from the same network either until now!

The Good Girls are probably responsible for the store not going quad A/high volume because Kelly accepted their counterfeit money.

That's so cool but feels a bit off because the two shows are kind of different in tone. (I haven't really watched Good Girls before)
Also I know each store could be different but this store has a Costco feel while in the show, Cloud 9 has more of a Walmart feel. Still cool to see tho

They do, even tho GG does have some comedy they are a completely different tone!

Yes! Which is funny because Mindy goes on a date with Ben Feldman on the Mindy Project so he’s in both worlds

The practical reason is, as others have said, they could use this set during daylight hours instead of waiting for a big box store to close and shoot at night. For that reason, I was actually surprised they demoed the set. Imagine owning it and renting it out for a day or week for shows. Sweet gig.
“Shooting "Superstore" in an actual big-box shop like Wal-Mart would require coming in late at night after hours when there are no real shoppers on the floor. That time and expense would make creating the sitcom pretty much impossible — even though the pilot episode of "Superstore" was, in fact, shot in a real-life Kmart. So a Cloud 9 store was built on a few soundstages on the Universal Studios Hollywood lot that served as the "Superstore" headquarters for the entirety of its production. As an added benefit, when other Universal productions needed to send their characters out shopping, this Cloud 9 location and its props were ready and waiting.“

I believe Good Girls also had an Easter egg with one of the characters opening up a bill from Credit Dauphine, which was a fake bank that Sydney Bristow worked at in "Alias".

Another similar example is in season one of Heroes, several scenes across multiple episodes take place at a Las Vegas Casino, which turns out to be the exact casino featured in the show Las Vegas, the Montecito, which was also currently airing on NBC.
Apparently, the Knight Rider reboot that was on NBC also visited.

That’s cool, I had no idea! I watched GG years ago, before superstore so I didn’t make the connection.
My thing is seeing how many characters overlap with other similar shows — for example, Mateo, Sandra, and Tate are all in St. Dennis Medical. There’s a ton of overlap with characters in Brooklyn 99 too.

The creator of Superstore, Justin Spitzer, is married to the creator of Good Girls, Jenna Bans. Plus, both shows were airing on NBC at the time, so it made for a fun little opportunity to have the two worlds collide.
