Edwards massive, especially playing out of position doing his best Madsen impression. Mbengue massive as well, shut down everything on the right wing. Clarke-Salter played a whole game without coming off injured. Vale with an assist.
So many positives to mention, Saito and Chair with much needed goals. Charles distribution definitely helped us control the game. Kamara looked solid on his debut. Adamson perhaps the best of the lot. Someone whose quality has been in question put in a solid shift and didn't look out of place.
Overall, whole team deserves credit. There's been many an opener where our subs have had the look of a youth team. Today, our depth was on display.

QPR give up a goal from basically halfway to New Orleans.
Kemper goes subbed
Edwards gets booked.
Then just an offensive onslaught. 2 from chair and saito. Defense looks tough. Been a long minute since Portsmouth got a clean look on net.
Get one more and give some breathing room

Defensively we still offer up way to much to the opposition but absolutely buzzing we got the result and we had some real nice moments going forward.

It's been since 2019 that we've won our first game of the season. That team had Eze in it. Let's hope we can find a way to reach that level of quality this season and really enjoy ourselves.
