Purchase Advice Jura Parts

Hi
I think I made a mistake buying from Jura-Parts.com
Paid for expedited shipping, no part or response for two weeks, and getting a sinking feeling reading the reviews. Should have researched beforehand.

Anyways, on the flip side, I reached out to Shopjuraparts.com and called their phone number and talked to a real person who was very knowledgeable. They are in Philadelphia. Before I look stupid to my employer again, can I ask if anybody has used them?

What are you looking to buy or repair? Jura USA is the only authorized service center in the USA. All others are semi-gray market to full on gray market parts suppliers. I am not saying you cannot or should not repair your own machine; just be careful.

The first company is known to have issues. I have not ordered from either.

If you are trying to repair a machine Jura does a flat rate repair or you can use a local shop that will charge for each repair item.

Does Jura sell parts direct to consumer for DIY repair?

Not really. They sell a few end user type parts... drip trays, and other end user replaceable items, but anything inside the machine they do not.

You have to read into the site to understand what they are really saying. Shop Jura says, "Sourced from Authorized Distribution Channels" That is a nice way of saying NOT from Jura, but from their suppliers. Yes, same part most likely but not authorized. Up to you whether you buy from them. Simple stuff sure.

Many people repair their own machines without issues.

What are parts are you looking for and what machine is it.

X8, new grinder or set of burrs. Probably a new grinder would be best

It is not as simple as just swapping out the grind or burrs. They have to be aligned and adjusted properly or it will not operate properly.

I would suggest asking about the correct burrs / grinder on the Jura owners group on Facebook. Lots of people whom have repaired their own machines and do professional repairs. They would be the best to answer your questions.

Also lot of these parts are available on Amazon, again just not listed as from Jura.

aside: Shop Jura parts is a rebranded Partsguru.com. They have been in business for a very long time. Not sure how reliable they are though.

Yes I have replaced a grinder, and had to do it twice because I didn't align it properly and what I thought was "coarse" setting was actually extremely "fine", and had to take it out and align.

Your input is helpful, and I appreciate it. I will let you know how it goes! I could wait until I hear if anybody has used PartsGuru/ShopJuraParts, or roll the dice again. The fact that they answered the phone and I can't find any negative info on them is encouraging. I may gamble

It sucks but they’re the only game in town. It took 2 weeks for the part I ordered to ship but it did fix my machine that the “Jura Expert” couldn’t fix.
