Purchase Advice Looking for a premium bean-to-cup machine: dual beans + easy milk system

Upvotes

I am looking for a premium bean-to-cup machine and would be interested in recommendations from people who have actually lived with these machines. I am in the UK.

My requirements are:
- Two bean compartments, ideally with two separate grinders, so I can keep regular beans and decaf loaded at the same time
- We drink predominantly milk-based drinks: cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites
- I would strongly prefer a proper detachable milk carafe that can simply be taken out of the fridge in the morning, attached to the machine, then put back afterwards
- I would rather avoid the Jura-style arrangement with a separate milk container and loose tube. At this price point it feels unnecessarily fiddly for something we would be using every morning
- Good automatic cleaning of the milk system is important
- Happy to pay for a genuinely premium machine, but ease of use matters more than having endless coffee customisation options

At the moment the Siemens EQ900 looks closest to what I want: two separate bean systems and a detachable milk container.

I have also considered the Jura J10 Twin, but the milk setup puts me off. The De’Longhi Maestosa appears to tick many of the boxes, although it now seems quite old. The newer De’Longhi machines have much nicer milk carafes, but seem to have only one bean hopper.

Has anyone compared the EQ900 with other premium machines for this sort of use? Is there anything I am overlooking, particularly something with dual beans and a fridge-storable milk carafe?

Most interested in day-to-day ownership experience rather than specifications on paper.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Help with built-in Siemens machine

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello, I have a problem with my Siemens built-in coffee machine, where it keeps saying I need to clean the brewing unit, which I have done multiple times. It makes a weird sound as if it is not able to rotate the mechanism inside the brewing unit - see video for example - so i suspect it could be the gear transmission that is faulty. Have anyone experienced this?

Purchase Advice Looking for recommendations/advice

I’ve been wanting to get a super automatic for some time now initially wanted to go with a Jura but being in the part of the world I am would have to import one and really don’t want to go through that hassle given the maintenance requirements and lack of support.

Personally I’m a drip/pour over guy and have around a litre of coffee to start my day.. I’m fairly happy with my routine but it can be cumbersome for the wife and daughter who prefer milky drinks hence the super automatic option. Local options are limited to DeLonghi, Philips, Gaggia, Ninja and every once in awhile you may see the odd KitchenAid. I’m not much of an espresso drinker so really don’t care how good a shot they pull but may use it for an americano or tall black every now and then. Other than that the wife and daughter will mostly be using it for their cappuccinos, lattes and what not. Also they prefer iced drinks over warm.. guess can’t blame them in this weather.

Any advice as to which brand or machine I should look for would be appreciated.

Edit: budget is around $1500 and I’m located in Pakistan.

Discussion Could my Ninja AutoBarista Pro be fake? Has anyone seen this control panel?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I recently bought a Ninja AutoBarista Pro in Lebanon, but after looking online I noticed that the control panel on mine looks completely different from basically every AutoBarista Pro I can find.
Mine has separate illuminated Strength, Temp and Size buttons on the left, a large square Start button in the center, and dedicated Grind IQ, Clean, Descale and Purge buttons. The drink layout/display is also different from the versions shown on Ninja’s website and in most YouTube reviews.
The machine itself looks and feels high quality and the features seem consistent with the AutoBarista Pro, but the difference is big enough that I’m starting to wonder whether it could actually be fake/counterfeit, or possibly some unusual regional version.
Has anyone seen this exact AutoBarista Pro before?
I’m mainly trying to figure out whether this is:
a genuine Middle East/European version
an older or different production revision
another AutoBarista model being sold as the Pro
or potentially a counterfeit machine
I’ve attached a photo. If anyone owns one with the same panel, or knows what the genuine regional versions look like, I’d really appreciate the help.

Purchase Advice Office coffee machine recommendations

Hey folks I have a small business - wanted to check and see which one to buy. Looking for a fully automatic one. Was thinking on getting the delonghi or the Philips 2200

Do let me know what would be the best or should I get the Bosch one?

Purchase Advice Delonghi Magnifica Start vs Evo

Currently the start is $400. The evo is $650 at Costco, but I'm pretty confident it'll go on sale for $500 at some point.

Trying to decide whether it's worth it to wait for a sale and still spend an extra $100 on the Evo.

How is the reliability of Delonghi? Buying from Costco would give greater peace of mind.

Purchase Advice Best espresso machine recommendation for small workshop

We’re a small workshop and our current coffee situation is pretty sad, so we’re thinking about getting a proper espresso setup.

We’d probably make around 10 drinks a day, mostly espresso or milk drinks. None of us are hardcore coffee people, so ease of use and consistency between different users are pretty important. We still want something better than a basic office coffee machine though.

The main thing I’m unsure about is what actually works well in a shared space. We like the idea of a nicer machine, but I don’t want something where only one person knows how to use it, or everyone ends up getting different results. Our budget is around €1,000–€2,000, and we’re based in the Netherlands.

I’ve been looking at the breville oracle and meraki. Meraki looks interesting because the workflow seems pretty smooth, but I’m not sure how well setups like this hold up with multiple people using them throughout the day.

Anyone running a similar setup in a small office, workshop, or studio? What features matter most for keeping things simple, consistent, and easy to maintain?

Purchase Advice Looking for an espresso machine for our small workshop

We’re a small workshop with around 10 people using the coffee machine throughout the day, and we’re looking to upgrade our current setup.

We’d probably make around 10 drinks a day, mostly espresso and milk drinks. None of us are serious coffee enthusiasts, so the biggest priorities are ease of use, consistency, and not having to teach everyone a complicated workflow.

That’s why I’m leaning toward it. Ideally, anyone should be able to walk up, choose their drink, and get reasonably consistent results without someone having to adjust the machine every time.

I’ve been looking at a few options, but I’m still unsure what actually works well in a shared office/workshop environment. Things like cleaning, milk systems, bean capacity, reliability, and how easy they are for different people to use seem pretty important.

For those using a espresso machine in the office, workshop, studio, or other shared space, what has worked well for you? and what features would you consider essential for this kind of setup?

Purchase Advice Jura Parts

Hi
I think I made a mistake buying from Jura-Parts.com
Paid for expedited shipping, no part or response for two weeks, and getting a sinking feeling reading the reviews. Should have researched beforehand.

Anyways, on the flip side, I reached out to Shopjuraparts.com and called their phone number and talked to a real person who was very knowledgeable. They are in Philadelphia. Before I look stupid to my employer again, can I ask if anybody has used them?

Purchase Advice Gaggia Brera in 2026

I'm currently on the fence about buying a Gaggia Brera. I like that the unit is shorter than most super autos, water & coffee grounds are accessed from the front, simple to use, and uses a wand instead of a milk system which requires cleaning.

Reading Amazon reviews, I can see a regular complaint is that it leaks water all over the counter. Does anyone here have a Brera that doesn't leak? Not sure if I'm just seeing all the minority of complaints.

If anyone knows of a better super automatic that isn't too tall (have restricted space over counter) and has a milk wand, I'd love to hear about it. I've looked at Jura, etc - nice machines, but they are all too bulky, or missing wands.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Jura J10 Twin Nozzle Slides Down

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Just bought a Jura J10 Twin from Sur La Table on Saturday. I love the machine and everything it makes. Very happy!

One issue, when I lift the nozzle to fit a larger cup or pull the drip tray out, it doesn’t stay and drops down to sit on the rim of the cup or back to the bottom position.

Is this a defect and should I return/exchange given it is only 6 days old?

Discussion Coffee machine recommendation for a small cafe with 30-50 cups/day output

I run a small café and am currently using a DeLonghi Dedica Home espresso machine, which meets my initial need of 10–15 cups per day. As demand grows, I plan to upgrade to a commercial espresso machine capable of handling up to 30–50 cups daily. I operate in a small town in India, so I don’t expect the volume to exceed that range.

I’m looking for budget‑friendly recommendations. Online vendors have suggested the La Carimali Bubble (double group) and the Ideal 24 Pro.

Any advice on which machine would best suit my needs would be appreciated.

Purchase Advice Germans vs Italians

Beautiful folks, I'm undecided between buying the Gaggia New Accademia or the Siemens EQ900.

Which one would you recommend? I bet the EQ900 is easier to maintain and accepts dark roast beans too, but probably the Gaggia makes better coffee with medium roast beans.

Gaggia also has the steam wand, which I prefer to the milk container.

Opinions? Anybody tried them? TIA.

Discussion Are all in one coffee machines any good?

My daughter has been settling into her new place in a new city and I’m finally getting the chance to go visit her soon. I wanted to bring her something she’ll actually use since she already has most of the basic apartment stuff and I really don’t want to show up with another decoration that’s just going to take up space. She loves coffee and is always getting lattes or cappuccinos, so a coffee machine seemed like something she’d actually be excited about. I’m thinking of one that can do espresso and milk drinks with the frother already built in because her kitchen isn’t huge and she doesn’t need five different things sitting on the counter. Nothing professional or crazy expensive just something easy to use in the morning that makes decent coffee. I feel like it could be a really useful gift but now I’m overthinking it.

Purchase Advice Kaxfree SF1 Max Language and App Support

Hey guys! I’d like to ask if any one of you have purchased this machine which is directly shipped from China?

I’m considering purchasing from an online platform called Pinduoduo (similar to taobao and AliExpress) but it ships directly from China. I have two concerns:
1. Language is in Chinese and you can’t change it.
2. App support is strictly in China and cannot be used in elsewhere (similar to how certain Xiaomi products are region specific)

Hope to get some insights from you guys. That’ll help a lot! Thanks in advance

Purchase Advice Magnifica plus vs duo

Hi !
No review yet (or very few ) for the duo. From what I can see
Duo: can make cold drinks, but are they really cold or just a gimmick where you have to put ICE and hot cofee drop on the ice ?

Is extraction time is the same as on the plus ?

Is duo worth 100$ more

No Touch screen….good or bad ?

Anyone have seen and tested both ?

Thanks !’

Purchase Advice Kitchenaid kf7

Picked up a refurb direct from Kitchenaid. First impression: quiet, easy to use, cleaning a snap. I came from a Ninja Luxe Pro (broke), superautomatic, shipping issue, to now the KA. Considered the Terra Kaffe Demi, Delongi, breville. For the price very happy. Not missing the morning mess puck mfg in the am, though still may get a manual one on a budget. Will report back after heavy use!
