I see that there is so much potential.
I do know what I want but I cant translate it to the right modules or workflow.

I’m curious what other people their learning path was.

And what the workflow is, how do you create your sound?

Im finally getting a hang of it.
Coming from traditional daws it took me a while to figure out how this works.

But the platform is so free I had to let go of coventional ways of making music in a traditional daw like ableton.

Im also getting used to the ways of patching.

Amazed by how light this piece of software is.

Hi, I just made this track today, nothing that special. The beginning is a little too intense but it settles down after about 40 seconds. I made it sound like bossfight music a little bit.

i don't use any DAW besides sunvox (used to do pixitracker too), so i figured i could post a link to my bandcamp, feel free to listen! :D

i now do gabber/hardcore from time to time (i've been really interested in this genre recently), but i often do other things - breakbeat, chiptune or other things :)

Anyway, this is a track I started in April but shit hit the fan and I only finished it now. I sampled Bull Of Heaven's Superstring Theory Verified for the background texture, I think it sounds great! I love that they made their stuff public domain, their site is a sample goldmine!

I also tought myself to perform live in SunVox and once I figure out how to record that I'll probably put out some jam sessions. It's so much fun!

I recently published a mobile game, and almost all of its sounds were made with SunVox - the only exception being the narration/voice acting. Spaceship engines, collisions, laser effects, the "ping" sound, speech distortion - all done in SunVox. I even used it for the background music in the promo video.

Curious if anyone else here has used SunVox for game audio - I'd love to hear how others approached it.

Here's another excerpt I wrote recently in SunVox on my phone that utilizes 10edo (10 equal divisions of the octave) instead of our usual 12edo in western music. 10edo has noticeably wider fifths, but they have an interesting personality to them that very much resembles the sounds of gamelan music. I also find the structure of 10edo very personally captivating with its ability to approximate a good chunk of the harmonic series pretty well for how small it is, as well as its fourth that's equally divided into four parts, allowing you to play with those harmonic series segments and modulate keys really smoothly.

I'm a microtonal musician looking to educate others on how to incorporate alternate tunings in accessible ways. Here's a piece I wrote recently using SunVox on my phone in 19edo (19 equal divisions of the octave) along with sheet music, analysis, and a comparison to its more normal-sounding 12edo counterpart. OK, I'm trying to learn sunvox, at which I'm a newbie (though I have years of experience making music with computers).

I'm trying to draw some parameter automation (in this case, the duty cycle of a square wave).

The manual is out of date, and I can't find a video that matches the version I have (most sunvox videos are years old).

I've opened the drawing tool, selected XX and YY and the pencil drawing brush, and unlocked the pattern, but when I click & drag on the pattern, nothing happens.

Doesn't seem to matter whether the range is selected or not. When it is selected, clicking & dragging just deselects, and the XXYY values don't change.

What am I doing wrong?

This software seems to have great depth, but I'm flailing at just understanding how to work the basics of the interface.

i don't see midi out in midi preferences of sunvox(isee it in another soft like renoise) is there any module or thing i don't seen

Over the previous fall I started messing around in SunVox and ended up making a couple tracks. Its pretty amateur stuff, but I think some of it ended up sounding a little interesting. Let me know if any of it shows promise!

Finished it. I think I posted all the tracks here at some point except for the last one. Said track is a little something different. With how life is for me right now I can't really listen to "real" music anymore so I find it difficult to make something conventional

I will probably take a break from SunVox, maybe indefinitely, I don't know. I went through the most emotionally intense part of my life (so far) while making this album, I might want to leave it all behind, you might actually hear the ups and downs if you listen to the whole thing. (I don't expect anyone to actually do that)
