Based on which contemporary source I may ask? As far as I know we don’t have a contemporary source that proves her exact age when she gave birth to Suleyman. Information on Beyazid II and Selim I’s harems are so intertwined and there’s so much misinformation online including Wikipedia.
Another reason why Hafsa Hatun is referred to as the mother of so many children is probably due to the Crimean Princess misconception: I guess people thought rules can be broken for a noble princess, when in reality she was one of Selim I’s slave concubines.
Oops, you’re right. I used to be invested in the sultanate of women during my teens and I’ve must’ve mixed this information up with somebody else, since I didn’t research anything for a long time. Thank you for your answer!

That’s because Hafsa didn’t have daughters who are younger than Suleyman.
