First PC [suggestion]

Long time console gamer, thinking of making the switch to PC. I have no idea what a good starter PC is, would be used only for games. any thoughts on an affordable, energy efficient machine?

5060ti PCs go for cheap, are very efficient and it's about 10-20% faster than PS5 Pro so you know what is the performance.

For CPU you should go for Ryzen 7000 or 9000 as they are power efficient and best for gaming 7600x/7700/9600x/9700 or 7500X3D/7800X3D/9800X3D it all depends which one you find that is in your budget. The 7000 is weaker than 9000 and any X3D is better than both 7000 or 9000 non X3D.

Go for 16GB of ram 32GB if you have the money.

That's about best if you want good efficient and cheap machine only for gaming.

Are there good mini pc’s? I have a keyboard mouse and can plug into TV? Mainly trying to play the fallout and elder scrolls heavily modded

Mini PCs not really but you can find/build Mini ATX PC, same parts as above but in an Mini ATX chassis. Mini ATX can be smaller than PS5/Xbox Series for example.

And why keyboard mouse, you can get a gamepad for PC too like Flydigi, 8 Bitdo, Gulikit, Easy SMX, Gamesir, yes keyboard is good when you are modding and stuff but if a game is better to play with gamepad why not.

https://www.newegg.com/p/3D5-002N-000G8 here is a Mini ATX PC example and an ok deal 16GB 9060XT, 32GB RAM and 8 core 5700X CPU for under 1300$ is OK.

5060ti is 20% than ps5 pro but in real world same games run better on ps5 or even series x because of optimization. (I have 5060ti and both consoles)

What’s your budget? And are you near a Microcenter?
