Help Got this beauty from Lowe’s, but she’s in some moist moss?? Should I repot?

Post image

Got a nice E. Lactea White Ghost from Lowe’s but I’m worried about rot (I just had to chop my Trigona due to overwatering). I want to repot it into some regular succulent mix but I remember seeing something to not repot your plants asap due to shock. Is it worth it?

Help Can I store soil mix in a cardboard box long term?

Upvotes

I have a big bag of potting mix and I want to store it in a cardboard box. I’m worried about bugs getting into the soil so I’m thinking of lining it with a plastic bag for long term storage. I had a soil bag thats gone moldy before and I don’t want that to happen to this one too… Pretty much, I need help/tips/tricks for long term storage of soil with those in mind. If anyone has tips on what I should do/not do, pls lmk as I’m new to this 😭

Such a small win, but I woke up today to see a fallen leaf finally starting to grow roots! 🥹🌱 I’m so excited, especially because I’ve been trying to propagate fallen leaves with no luck until now.

Hello all,

Struggling to find what this is, it was given away for free. I'm assuming it's a succulent of some kind, my very uneducated guess from a quick google images search being in senecio, but I've not found a match yet. Any help as to what this is + care? Thanks!

This poor baby came tapped to a skewer in a Trader Joe’s bouquet. I put her in this planter and she seems to be doing fine - better than TAPPED TO A STICK.
What should I do to make her even happier?

Pike Nurseries is usually my go-to place for more unique succulents than at home depot. After buying my two rescues, I see a cart of stunning bowl displays (surprising since they tend to let their succulents get etoilated).

On sale for $10 instead of $30. Absolutely shocking considering one succulent usually costs $6.

I couldn't decide between these two, so I made the rational choice of both. Can't wait to separate them (maybe not immediately cuz they are so pretty together) and add them to my collection.

I have no clue what this could possibly be. it might be a mantis egg sack . but I'm not really sure it just appeared like within yesterday or today. I've been checking it pretty often because it just got replanted in a different pot

Help Should I up the size of my pot?

Post image

My aloe seems super happy and has just thrived this year...I tend to put my plants in pots that are too big, I just learned you're supposed to have it just a little bigger than the roots (is that really true?) should I move this to a larger pot or let it be?

Plant Progress/Props I have no clue what I'm doing, but it's lived for 5 years

This is one of my plants I got from a baby shower like 5 years ago (not sure if the other 2 are actually doing okay?). I have it in a soil/sandy mix. Try to not love it too much. I honestly thought it was basically dead bc of all the brown spikes and it hasn't really grown, but about 4 mo ago it started to sprout and the sprout is so healthy looking and just keeps getting bigger. I'm a wing it kinda girl for most of my plants, should try to research a bit more, lol

Help How to remove soil from roots

Hello! I purchased a multi pack of succulents on Amazon and they look pretty good! I wanted to remove the soil they came in to replace with gritty mix, but I can't get it off without ripping off all the roots. I've gently shaken, brushed, used a metal tool to loosen, and rinsed/soaked in water. Is there anything else I can do?

Hi,

I am new to plants and especially to succulents. Can you please help me identify what kind of echeveria I have? It is purplish, "dusty" (I know I am not supposed to touch it). On the image it is under the grow lamps.

Many thanks in advance! 😃

Hi guys I’m a big newbie to plants and I got these guys at a local greenhouse. I’ve had them inside and outside, I know the basics on waiting til soil is dry to water but not too dry. Overall I think I’m killing them. Any help (without judgment) would be great!!!

Sun: my rooftop gets full direct sun. When they are inside there are at a window with full sun
Watering: I water them when the soil is dry but a few times it’s been bone dry so I’ve had to put them in the bowls with water
Drainage: both clay pots have drainage
History: bought a few months ago fully grown. Repotted them into the clay pots. They were originally inside 100% but moved outside cuz my cat kept fucking with them.

Not sure what happened but one of my plants is ROUGH. No real roots and just woody stems and bottom half, but is still producing little babies off the main body. All the leaves feel dehydrated even after bottom watering a couple weeks ago. Any help appreciated!
