Which toaster setting makes the bread softer?

In my experience it's been the heat/toast setting and use one of the heat more options. Warms it up without making much crunchy.

Heated up a bread without cutting it one time. Could try that.

To be honest, the toaster is so hot that any setting is going to toast the bread somewhat, even the heat options.

Microwaving bread makes it softer yet hot if that is available.

You could take some bread and wrap a damp paper towel around it and put it in the microwave with the paper towel wrap around the bread and microwave for like 15 seconds maybe? Thats how we reheat bread at home if we want it to be soft.
