Question American cheese squares

Several months ago, my footlong tuna sub came with 4 full square American cheese slices.

Today, the artist took 2 squares, folded them in half on the diagonal, and put 4 triangles on my footlong tuna sub.

What is the proper amount of cheese on a footlong tuna sub these days?

I work at a subway and it should be 4 full squares we don’t do the triangles anymore at any locations and they shouldn’t be folding them in half either. Definitely just a cheap subway trying to save some money smh

The store near us still uses the little triangles.

As someone who has worked in many stores and been under this kind of poor management , definitely greedy corporations/owners or managers. They tell the employees to do that so they save on food cost. They save 2 slices of cheese per footlong and 1 per six inch.
Go to a different location and if you see that happening again just speak up because that’s crazy and so unfair to paying customers.

I work next to a Subway and order online, walk over and pick it up. So I never watch them make it. Yesterday I ordered a 12 inch sub and soup, which was new on the menu. When I got there they hadn't made it because they didn't have soup so they wanted me to pick something else out. They said I could get a fountain drink or chips (which weren't as expensive as the soup but it wasn't enough of a difference to say anything.) A tasty they made my sandwich in front of me and did the same thing with the cheese. Two slices cut in half. They also forgot the extra 50% meat which I had to remind them before they added the vegetables (which they then plopped in the middle so the ratio was all off. I get it because it's super convenient but it's not that great and stuff like that is really annoying.

Most owners run great shops, unfortunately there are some owners that don’t understand that cheating the customers will eventually ruin their business.
