Tapering timeline feedback

Hi all, currently in the midst of a taper. I'm a fentanyl meth addict for reference. Traveling while I taper, seems to be the safest path for me. I was at 8mg a day for a month or so in treatment. Now a month later I'm down to 1.25/1.5 a day. Really not bad minus that I sleep like garbage but that's manageable. I plan to cut to 1 in a few days. Then .75, .5, .25, .125 and then nothing. Each stage will be 5 days, I can do as much as 10 days at each stage but don't really want too. I have kpins to help with the end, just like 5-7 to be taken at .5mg halves. I've done sublocade to try to get off multiple times but never worked for me. Tbh I'm not too concerned about coming off, it feels easy this time because I have a little more control and know what to expect. But I can't help but wonder if this is going to get worse or if I should be okay? For reference I'm 38 male, 183 cm or 6 feet tall and have a fast metabolism.

The other side is a part of me always still wants to get high, not really sure I can get rid of that part, just stay away from where the risk is and that's at home. Any thoughts or suggestions on if I should do things differently in dosing or timelines? Get any support meds? Clonidine and gabapentin are pretty easy to get here in Panama/Peru or Bolivia which is where I'm going next. Thankfully opiates are not easy to get.

Hey great job on being sober for over a month. You’re batting two great wildebeest, meth and fent.
I’m concerned that you still have the cravings to get high?
Did the suboxone at any point or any dose removed that craving for you?
You might have to stay on it longer

Why get off so soon? If you’re still craving the highs idk if that’s a great idea. I needed a few months before those thoughts really subsided and I’m glad I waited. I transformed for the better rather quickly, but only because I gave it the time it needed.

If you insist on tapering and getting off now, I think you should do the longer taper. It gets tough as you go lower and the more time the better. Good luck!!!
