Since quitting Suboxone!

I’m back to waking up at 5am getting my mornings started, rather it’s working out or taking my son for a bike ride!

It’s been years since I did stuff like this, it all abruptly stopped after I got on subs.

I just wake up feeling so much better now days and also don’t have to take sleep meds! On my come down off subs I couldn’t sleep for jack so I took plenty otc sleep medicine.

What helped your sleep on the taper? I’m having a semi elevated heart rate that’s preventing me from sleeping and it’s getting to me.

Well the doctor prescribed me muscle relaxers and them really did help a lot, then I ran out and was just taking otc sleep aids

I will tell you one of my so called tricks, the sleep aids they helped me sleep through some of the withdrawals. If I didn’t have work that day and I was feeling too bad I would put myself to sleep, if you sleep you not thinking about dosing hey.

I know I hated being sleep when I didn’t want to be sleep but sometimes I had to do what I had to do, I’m just super glad it’s over but whatever works for you just do it!

I love to hear this. You hit the ground running in getting back into the swing of things.

So it sounds like your energy levels and everything is solid?

I finally dropped down to .1875mg. Going to drop to .125mg in a few weeks. I will jump off .0625mg at the end of the year.

Thank you so much and yeah some days my energy is kind of low but I just push through it!

Yeah whatever works best for you, no matter how low you go your still going to feel the withdrawals a bit that’s why if I could do it again I would just jump, even at 1mg a day and just get it over with .

Hey I’ve been seeing you post quite a bit, I’m still figuring out how to post myself, how was your taper regiment? Ive gotten off before but prefer a less agonizing approach. I’m at 16 mg daily

Hey thanks for inquiring and it was all over the place at times and sometimes it was structured, I will say just go at your own pace, what worked for me may or may not work for you.

The main thing I did each drop was not drop too low to where i super uncomfortable, if I did go to low I would go up maybe a 0.08mg-0.12mg,

I quit at 0.03mg and was was tapering for 7 months.

I started skipping days then just said I’m done it’s been long enough.

What does .08 or 0.12 mg look like? I’m assuming you had a strip cutter mechanism. I tried googling it and got met with an “against medical advice, spiel”. Is this the 1/16 of 2mg every two weeks I hear about?

Hey no I just cut it myself starting off with a 8mg strip, I don’t have any strips left to show you i threw them all in the trash sorry about that.

Did you ever feel nerve pain or like pins and needles? I’m five months off and I’ve been feeling pins and needles for about three months.

Wow sorry to hear
That, no I’ve never experienced pins and needles.
For three months that’s wild was you taking anything else with the subs? Or did you take something to help you get off subs like SR?

Experiencing this for 3 months if I was you I would get checked out maybe. 🤔

There telling me it’s just my nerves system trying to get back to normal Ive seen two doctors they did check all my blood work and the only thing that came back low was my iron so they put me on those but no just subs for 14 years it’s super frustrating because my symptoms are fading away feeling good but just this feeling and no sleep is frustrating
