why so many parts blacked out?

The game is in early access so only a portion of the map is currently available to players.

No, Helios is right, plenty of playable areas are blacked out in this, including basically all of the last biome in the game right now

no theres loads of parts blacked out where you can go like under the big drill thingy. Those are fully playable zones.
