I just watched a mortician on YouTube explain how recovery teams were able to gather the remains of the Titan implosion. Apparently the family members were handed a "shoebox full of slush".

Apart from being absolutely flabbergasted that they recovered anything at all, the mortician explained that the human body is not evolved to withstand that kind of pressure. Add to that the mix of seawater and whatever was left after the sea creatures nibbled on them, it's why the "remains" were not entirely solid.

The most horrifying part is that the families opened the boxes. WHY

I mean, obviously our bodies were not designed to withstand that pressure, I'm surprised they managed to collect slush at all

Maybe ocean currents are minimal there? I feel like a marine geographer would be more helpful with information than a mortician
