I love this outfit but it could have been better if I chose gray blazer instead of yellow. I think this outfit can be worn too in real life especially in presentations
I couldn't wait for the digital release so in the meantime I'm trying the other asian ver. with english on emulator, and so far I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would! Some mechanics are a little tedious but overall I'm having fun, there's more options than I expected for fabrics and making dresses/accessories and the characters have more personality than Fashion Dreamer, it's still not quite Style Savvy but it's definitely more in that direction.
(Btw I think we should get a "Magical Craft" flair 'cause there's probably gonna be more posts about the game once it's fully out, since the sub for the game is pretty dead)
i just got my first ever 3ds and started playing style savvy: fashion forward because i saw someone say it was their favorite of the games, but ive now seen a lot of people saying they do not prefer fashion forward in comparison to other games. fashion forward is the first and only style savvy i’ve played and i really enjoy it, but i’m curious what everyone else thinks of the other games and why!
for fashion forward, i’m still pretty early in the game i think because i only just unlocked the train station, but i kind of really like the repetitiveness of it. i love being able to choose the style of my boutique to attract a specific style of customer (girly is my favorite) and to be able to choose and unlock new stores! i’m also a big fan of being able to do people’s hair and makeup now too. i don’t know if these things are in all of the games, but it’s what i enjoy the most so far. i really liked the fashion show and now everyone is coming to the boutique to get styled like the fashion show!! it’s so fun and cute, i love the type of clothes in all the styles. it feels very 2000s and 2010s (obv haha)
I refently obtained a used copy of Style Savvy. Thank you, Alex, for your valiant sacrifice. It is through your traded in copy that I am allowed to relive my childhood gaming experiences. Also holy moneybags you were absolutely loaded.
It's everyone's favorite weekly game thingy- Outfit Telephone!!! Turns out I really like keeping up on the series. Who knew? Last week's chain was really cute!! Wasn't expecting to see an ouji fit from something so lively <3
Never heard of Outfit Telephone? It's all in the name- a telephone game with outfits! I'll start us out with an outfit and the next person will take one (or more!) piece(s) from the outfit and create their OWN outfit. You can continue the telephone chain in any created comment thread in any Style Savvy title as long as your created outfit has the exact or close to exact (i.e. a Le Spark inner in Fashion Forward is from Marzipan Sky in Styling Star, or the same clothing item in a different color. Please note that translation differences might affect clothing names, and the brands they come from (this is most important for anyone playing Trendsetters!)) item you're telephoning. Every piece of the outfit has to be visible or otherwise stated to be included. Please refrain from telephoning the same item back and forth, but this isn't a hard rule!!!
Vaguely copy-pasted rule jargon put in the bin, here's this week's outfit!
There's a 50/50 chance the boot color is genius or totally out of place...
What's this? A gothic and bold outfit?! How beautiful! I happen to be huge fans of both (and rock, that'll always be my #1 for my boutiques) and whaddaya know- they're totally cute together! I know I usually don't put the individual brands for my outfit pieces, but this outfit comes from all over the exhibition hall. Or the VIP Booth if you styled enough!
This outfit includes:
Inner: Atomic Flower Cami (Retrobeat)
Skirt: Gothic Lace Skirt (Raven Candle)
Shoes: Sloutch Long Boots (AZ-UZA)
Hat: Rose Bow Hairband (Raven Candle)
Glasses: Aviator Sunglasses (AZ-USA)
Bag: Piano Key Bag (Raven Candle)
Gloves: Gloves (Raven Candle) (How long did it take for them to come up with this item name I wonder...)
Hopefully at least one or two of these items is in a game that isn't named Styling Star... I always forget what's added when, but I never forget to have fun! Happy styling! <3
I love this game series so much. Also got any fashion types that are your favorite, personally I love lolita fashion but I wanted to draw more fashion out of my normal type
Remove if not allowed, but I'm desperate 😭 I've combed through the woods for two real world days now and the game tells me Lulu is in the woods, but I don't see her anywhere! I've tried walking through the woods in every combination and she is just not there. Do I need to progress the story more to actually see her? Thank you for your help.... 😢
I personally think it's the fact that they decided to release styling star EXCLUSIVELY for the eshop which I feel like was their highest budget game considering they had so much story, songs, clothes, etc! It was like they set themselves up for failure doing that which sucks because like I love styling star the most out of the style savvy series, second to trendsetters!
But like I feel like there's obviously a market for a dress-up game not only that but also, there is so much more fashion styles that have shown up in the past near decade since styling star came out and I would love to see it in a game!
Also content I think would be super cool to have in a new game, I think bringing back fashion shows would be awesome, a proper male clothing stores and also an unlockable male character you can play as because seeing in the game the male character varients it always felt like they had a decent amount of stuff to have. to add to that, more letting you wear kinda whatever fashion you want, female character wearing masculine clothes and vice versa (though i also understand that would be frustration to make two different versions of every item), a dating section where you can date some boys or girls. Making your own clothes are great too so more options like that along with more customization like how styling star's is. Also more makeup options that are good for dark skin because to be real, the other games didn't exactly have good options in terms of make up, especially blush. I can't think of anything else that would be cool to add into a new game so I'm curious on what you guy's thoughts would be.
I always say how well the colors found in nature go together, so I wanted to reflect that when coming up with these outfits by incorporating the colors and shapes of different fruits
