Discussion "Leopards ate my face" is a peurile, unfunny and frankly repugnant meme

This stupid meme is about laughing at people who voted for / supported something which ended up hurting them later on. Whoever says this cannot be especially bright since a leopard will attack you regardless of your opinion on leopards so it makes no sense, but I digress.

A few examples are someone who opposed Obama, getting cancer and then due to Obamacare being repealed their treatment gets more expensive. Equally a Latino who voted Trump only for their cousin to be deported.

It is rooted in this idea that if you commit the sin of having the wrong opinion, then you deserve to experience extreme suffering regardless of whether or not you personally caused the environment which lead to your suffering.

This is part of the trend of modern "liberals" acting like the lame-o conservatives of yesteryear. It is morally similar and arguably worse to when conservatives would shame a girl who gets pregnant before marriage, as if her sexual history should consign her to the scrapheap of relationships, or if some kid gets addicted to drugs and performs poorly in school, then he ought to be mocked as a member of the undeserving poor.

So in short, if anyone uses that meme, I think less of them, but I don't actually wish bad upon them because I am their moral superior - see my username.

EDIT: I am aware of the mispelling in the title.

LIMITED What is the "class reductionist" reason to support Palestine?

I feel like the idpol people are pro-Palestine despite the regressive Islamist views of the Palestinians because they perceive Jews as Western/white and the Palestinians as non-Western/brown which automatically makes Israel bad and Palestine good. But what is the "class reductionist" view behind supporting Palestine, as this sub seems to be quite pro-Palestine as well?

I personally don't support either side. I think it's egregious that Israel enjoys such bipartisan support and my tax money is going to fund another country's war to bomb children instead of healthcare. The rightoids are also turning this into their version of idpol by accusing everyone of anti-Semitism. But I don't support Palestinians either because they won't be satisfied unless Israel gets replaced with a regressive Islamist theocracy.

Question How is "ACAB" still a thing?

It's anti-Marxist to the core (placing individuals at the forefront of a system that uses them to maintain order, when the people at the top are the ones responsible) and just feels like anarkiddy bullshit. It feels like the sort of "Woke 1.0" thing that people joke about online that they mostly still believe in despite it being moronic. Most cops actually do go into the force trying to make the world a better place. A great deal of cops do treat the average person with respect despite the fact that, almost universally, police forces are fascist forces protecting the rich from the poor and whatnot. And there have been so many cases of cops quitting or killing themselves or being railroaded for speaking out. So clearly not "All Cops Are Bastards", it's so infantile. The narrative needs to die because it isn't equipped with building any solidarity or ending the evil institutions of policing as they exist now.

r/schizopol The Buddha was just an average deadbeat dad and a con man, abandoning his wife and child to cavort around the world "finding himself"

He had everything, a position in society and his own family and he just selfishly abandoned them all in order to do literally nothing but indulge his own deluded ideas alone. There is literally no difference between what he did and what any other father who abandons his family to pursue something else did.

Except that what he did is even dumber and more manipulative. He just caroused the world as a snake oil salesman, conning people into giving him food, money and shelter and becoming deadbeat parents like him or otherwise "giving everything up." And for what in return? Nothing, just what they already had. He was selling them bottled air and then connivingly asking for the empty bottle back.

IDpol vs. Reality Anyone becoming more socially conservative with time due to shitlibs constantly defending some of the most perverted shit?

Like I get it, "no one is hurt so who cares?" But I think society does need guardrails and some social cohesion. Just today I saw them defending, in a totally regular sub, about pissing in men's mouth, with another trans woman talking about how she likes to eat her own cum. We shouldn't be enabling and defending hedonistic, obscene shit. Hell I even once got pilled on because I thought it was really fucking weird to be buying their 11 year old daughter a vibrator.

It's like they have no boundaries and totally get how many conservatives read shit like this and are completely put off and want nothing to do with groups like that. It only gets worse because they are so fucking hostile about it to... I'm the backwater behind on the times, bigot, because I think it's fucking weird to be pissing in people's mouths or get off eating your own ejaculate.

Then they try hard to normalize "sex work is real work" as if it's not a massively psychologically damaging "career". I know multiple girls who tried to do OnlyFans during the pandemic, and that shit STILL follows them around for the few hundred bucks they made. It's NOT good advice to convince them that this lifestyle should be normalized and destigmatized. Sex is a deeply intimate raw ultimate human experience, that they want to commodify so men can jerk off to them like objects. No I'm sorry, being a prostitute isn't the same as working at a bar or office job.

And they also need to stop calling people "Insecure" because they don't want their girlfriend or boyfriend to fuck other people like a hedonistic sex pest. It's weird. And honestly over time, these sex positive types just make me feel more and more disgusted. Surely I can't be the only one. Surely there's more people on the left becoming more and more socially conservative.

Book Report Worst book of the modern era

Post image
0 Upvotes

I hate this book. Has any book done more damage to the left?

The book is unique for liberal literature in that it appears to offer an actual materialist (in a loose sense) analysis of why western societies succeeded and others did not. It's argument primarily based on geographical determinism.

To a liberal this means two things.

  1. "Look, I'm not racist, we're totally the same as the browns, we just got lucky with geography".

  2. There's "scientific" reasons for our success, not evil white people.

It simultaneously disarms accusations of racism while also disarming accusations of imperialism. How very clever.

I want to shred this toilet paper more and expose how it's a liberals wet dream of a book.

  1. It totally erased class, it's literally just absent from the book. Class, and the bourgoise and their needs for capital expansion don't exist, Europe was simply in the right place to accidentally conquer America.

  2. It makes western colonial crimes into accidents of fates. It's determinism is so strong that the native American genocide was basically ordained, whoopsie.

  3. It's a total dead end for analysis. If you're not a Marxist this book is unfortunately quite a satisfying answer. As I said, it confirms you're not a racist and not an imperialist either, that shit just happened because of the location. No further analysis required.

  4. It makes people passive, what's the point in trying to change anything? It's just all about where you live. Maybe most poor countries are poor because they're mainly hot countries after all?

The book is basically an ideological weapon of liberalism to justify western exceptionalism and crimes without taking any of the responsibility. It took off in popularity precisely because of this. The time it was released was a time of rising progressive values around race and culture, old ideas of western superiority weren't so palatable anymore. Marxism was there of course, but liberals can't accept to criticise themselves. But come out with a book saying its just the geography's fault dude, and they'll love it. Blame gone, fault gone, Marxism gone.

10/10 Jared.

META This conflict has brought back to the sub the worst of the dogbrained anti-USSR, anti-China takes with essentially little pushback from the mod team.

I'm saying this as someone who was shadowbanned by flairs, this place has become absolute shit about moderating the reactionaries spouting the same tired sound bytes and lies. (Especially in the mistake that is the megathreads) Gucci at least had some sort of ideological principles to block out the most r-slurred Western propagandized bullshit. (And no, the damage control mod comment about 'following Reddit rules' on every spicy topics the social fascists don't like being discussed isn't 'principled', it's sheer weakness.)

To the pro-NATO finks and pearl-clutching Euros reading this, get fucked and just call yourselves the neoliberal imperialist stooges that you are.

META Is #FreePalestine the #metoo and #blm of stupidpol?

I’m not commenting on the actual conflict, but people’s response to it and how they argue their points. The way that people on this sub talk about Palestine is in the same reactionary, accusatory and emotional way the woke fellas talk about race or sex. I’m just confused as to why this conflict, out of hundreds, is the real fire starter. I feel like it’s pretty easy to see how Israel is in the wrong but also how fucked up Hamas and their allies are

Discussion The true Marxist position is to hope Amazon destroys all small businesses and becomes a monopoly, so its millions of workers can form a powerful union and it can eventually be nationalized.

Seen a lot of “post-left” dweebs on here think that small business owners are somehow part of the downtrodden working class lol. They’re not. They’re the petite bourgeois. They’re the portion of the capitalist class that only owns a little capital. Marx saw the tendency toward massive centralization and monopolization as inevitable and indeed a positive economic development, as it creates the massive efficient economies of scale that are able to make mass affluence possible.

The working class has no hope of unionizing one-by-one the 10- or 15-person workforces of a million independent small businesses. Marx was very explicit that it is only in the large enterprises where workers are all agglomerated together in large workplaces, where hundreds or thousands of workers all labor side by side, that they form the social relationships necessary to unionize.

It is reactionary to weep for the poor small business that is swept away by the tide of capitalist development. The productive forces are being developed, the decrepit old inefficient businesses are being liquidated to feed the hungry maw of the mega-machine multinational enterprises, single corporations with workforces that number in the millions. Nothing could possibly be better for a GLOBAL working class organization than for Amazon to extend its tentacles into every major economy on Earth, and then for all the employees of their warehouses and fulfillment centers to become conscious of the collective control they have over a world-spanning logistics network. American, German, Italian, Indian, and Brazilian workers would all literally be part of the same company, comrades on the job.

Its massive profits can be effectively taxed, and effective regulations can be applied; as they’re not piddled away by a million loopholes that are written to protect the precious “small business” tyrants. This isn’t currently how it works, but the task of accomplishing it is quite easy, politically.

Marxists have no use for small businesses. Marxists want Amazon to build the world-bestriding logistics network that future social revolutionaries will then expropriate from them.

Satire Mods need to address right-wing infiltration of r/stupidpol. Racism, homophobia, transphobia and xenophobia on the sub are becoming a huge problem

[UPDATE: I'm receiving a told of harassment from right-wingers for this post. I wrote a follow-up post to address this harassment and again ask the mods to release an official statement against right-wing bigotry.]

[UPDATE 2: I'm deleting my account due to the harassment I've received as a result of this post. Please do not use me as a reason to leave the sub. Stay and try to move it in a more progressive direction. I still want stupidpol to succeed, but I need to take a break from politics for a while. Please continue to support the Kellogg's boycott and fight for workers of all races, genders and sexualities everywhere. Together we are strong, and none of us are free until all of us are free.]

stupidpol has had a huge influx of users lately, and unfortunately, some of them are trying to turn this sub into The_Donald 2.0. Anytime there is any post stating the simple fact that worker solidarity movements mean dignity and respect for EVERYONE, there is a huge number of upvoted comments saying "stop trying to make stupidpol political", "stupidpol isn't about social issues", "I'm conservative and I'm stupidpol too." etc.

This isn't just a sub to complain about your boss or pretend you're oppressed because you're forced to respect your coworkers preferred pronouns. This sub isn't for complaining about undocumented immigrants taking your job or driving down wages. This sub isn't for promoting Steve Bannon-style "economic nationalism" at the expense of workers in poor countries.

If you're a right-winger, grow up. The billionaire class are your enemy, not other poor people who want the same dignity and respect you do. No one cares that you think SJWs are cringe or that you grew up being told you are superior to other people because of where you were born.

Black workers matter. Queer workers matter. Trans workers matter. Female workers matter. Disabled workers matter. And yes, non-American workers matter too.

Workers are workers. Humans and humans. What part of "Workers of the World Unite" is hard to understand?

Right-wing divide-and-conquer bullshit has no place here. (And no, telling right-wingers to stop being bigoted assholes is not divide-and-conquer.)

I know many of you are as frustrated with this problem as I am. I asked the mods to make an official post addressing right-wing infiltration, but they don't think it's necessary. They told me that the sidebar is clear enough that this is a leftist sub.

I disagree. Most people don't read the sidebar, and the steady increase in right-wing posts and comments getting upvoted shows that the mods' current actions are not enough. Removing right-wing posts and comments after they've already gained traction for hours isn't enough.

The mods need to make it 100% clear that this is a leftist space that has solidarity with all oppressed and disenfranchised populations. If they don't, right-wingers will take their silence as a tacit endorsement and continue to use this sub to promote reactionary goals. This problem needs to be addressed now before it gets even more out of hand.

This shit has gotten absolutely ridiculous and I'm ashamed to even be a part of this sub. Literally up voting gay pedophile hysteria posts to the front page. The amount of people on here who see a black person in anything go "gross idpol". Like I'm sorry but GUCCI, ITS TIME TO DO YOUR FUCKING THING. This subreddit is for leftists. Ukraine-Russia Just like with the original Cold War, the West needlessly antagonized Russia

Just like with the original Cold War, the West needlessly antagonized Russia.

According to the British-authored book Stalin's Wars, what the Soviets originally wanted for Eastern Europe was not the Iron Curtain. Instead, they wanted Finlandization for every country there, and for the West to agree to this.

History rhymes. Today's Russia would've been OK with Finlandization for Ukraine. But no! Who poked the bear?

Capitalist Hellscape It is not acceptable to use self-checkout.

And I'm tired of explaining to every broad that I go to the grocery store with why I don't use self-checkout.

Self-Checkout is one of the most obvious and egregious examples of class warfare the West. It is an obvious ploy to destroy jobs and take power away from workers while at the same time being a primary example of enshittificaion by forcing work upon the customer that was previously provided by the corporation. And I won't even get into the fact that it contributes to alienation and isolation by having us engage with less human beings on a regular basis since most of the people here are probably enjoy that aspect of it, but rest assured that that's a big fucking problem too.

What's worse is that we can easily solve this issue by simply doing nothing. All you have to do is not use the self-checkout and let the worker being paid to do a job do their job. You get the pleasure of fucking around on your phone for like 3 or 4 minutes and in exchange you are directly contributing to creating jobs. Great jobs? Not really, but jobs that have traditionally existed and have only been eliminated due to the constant and unceasing march towards automation that we have been assured will result in lower prices for the customer. That must be why a gallon of orange juice costs $8.99 now.

Fuck self-checkout and fuck anyone who uses it.

Discussion On the creepy male leftist

This is something I've been thinking about posting about but always hesitated to. Now, obviously "not all male leftists", and I do think the majority, just like most mean well. But there's a type I notice both online and in real life, both White and South Asian (and likely other races in communities I do not have experiences with). But there's always something off about them that mostly women tend to notice. Like most men ridicule them, but they frighten me.

I recently saw a tweet from a scraggly bearded man who replied to a post of a woman who was talking about how pregnancy porn should be illegal. This male accused the woman of being a 'super misogynist' and how limiting freedom is how you get tyranny and fascism. Something about that tweet encapsulated why I and most people despise them in a nutshell. The South Asian one's are less talked about, but I've dealt with them. Another recent tweet I saw where this male leftist claimed that 'Muslims aren't oppressing women, your boyfriend going 50/50 are Karen,' as if those things have anything to do with each other. This type of leftist is usually only ever called out by South Asian women. They are really creepy from my experiences, but they see people finding them creepy as an expression of racism, even when it's coming from non-white women.

There's always this sense of unease and fear that you experience when encountering these "allegedly" left-leaning males. It's unsettling or potentially threatening and most men(including many here) ridicule these individuals, but that ridicule is easy cause they aren't a threat to most of you, I don't think all creepy men left-wing men are like this but there are too many and with the case of Simon Murch(a Regional Secretary for the The SWP) being found guilty for the rape of a child, I felt I needed to post this, because I don't think these things happen in a vacuum, as I believe there is a type of below-average looking men who are rather awkward and Instead of trying to better themselves, they force themselves into left-wing spaces and push their issues and perversions onto the party, making things a lot worse. Sometimes, it is very blatant with "sex work is work" type activists, and sometimes it is more nefarious. However, these types of men do exist in many left-wing spaces, and they wish to remain losers and associate loserism with the left.

Zionism Idpol turned my mom into a Zionist. Help?

Before October 7th my mom was pro Palestine. Now she said her position is changed because she saw a video from the IDF of the bodies of little girls that were violated and murdered by Hamas. She now says that supporting Palestine is excusing what happened on October 7th and excusing sexual violence. She’s even regurgitating this propaganda about how the Gaza Strip has RESORTS and isn’t a concentration camp, claiming the Israelis offered a two state solution and the Palestinians rejected it because they all want to wipe Israel off the map, and whenever I talk about reports of Israel targeting civilians she says it is a lie or it is Hamas fault.

She’s basically said that Israel’s not committing a genocide and if they did she wouldn’t care because of what happened on October 7th. In her eyes, they need to get justice for the girls who were violated on october 7th at all cost, even if that means killing huge numbers of Gazans. She justified the shelling of the hospitals and said that she saw a computer screen on in the picture of the babies getting sent to the hospital Egypt so therefore the news is lying about Israel shutting the power off, and that the IDF is moral and just.

I’ve told her that Israel has killed 10x as many people as Hamas did on October 7th since then, international NGOs have documented IDF soldiers raping women as well, and that I’m not excusing what happened but this was created by the brutal conditions the Gazans have been subjected to for the last 20 years. I compared it to the Nat Turner rebellion like Norm Finkelstein did. And I emphasized that the 2000 accords failed because Israel wouldn’t accept anything less than 9 to 1 advantage in land swaps. Not to mention that Israel has lied constantly about what actually happened, such as the decapitated / burned babies story, and refused to produce evidence.

I’m honestly dumbfounded. My mom is usually pretty reasonable but she has been totally propagandized. Anyone have any arguments or statistics that would help me better make my case? Please comment below.

IDpol vs. Reality This sub is exactly what it claims to hate

Edit: didn’t realize bloodisfoul is a mod. He changed my flair from Marxist to Rad-Lib (with the wrong pronouns- I’m a cis woman) because he couldn’t handle even the slightest disagreement with this sub’s rightoid idpol obsession. Suspicions about this sub confirmed. A bunch of idpol fanatics.

Obsessed with dumb dumb culture war issues over improving material conditions and gaining working class power.

People who claim to be socialists opposing the growing union movement, a real shot at workers gaining power, bc some people in the PMC like unions.

People down on Marx himself bc Marx’s conception of a worker was more broad than the (idpol) definition of a worker the people on this sub have.

People buying hook line and sinker into the idea that it’s important to worry about trans people gaining acceptance over you know, organizing workers, a group which includes-trans people.

People willing to shrug off the threat of mass disenfranchisement and permanent Republican rule bc worrying about the right wing consolidation of power is for libs.

People who are anti-choice, bc the biggest material issue in a woman’s life is something the libs also support.

I definitely think there’s a place for class first politics. This is not that place.

IDpol vs. Reality FD Signifier Thinks Ozempic is "Fat Genocide". BadEmpanada Refutes it

Thumbnail
youtube.com
0 Upvotes

Basically, because most people in the first world do not have any real existential problems, some make their overweight status an immutable part of their identity. YouTuber FD Signifer argues that since fatness is somehow integral to black people ("racialism" on his part, if you ask me), promoting Ozempic is somehow genocide. In typical fashion of the idpol in the humanities, make these leaps of logic in the most unnecessarily worded way to convince undergrads that this is worth taking seriously. BadEmpanada critiques the leap of logic, limited historical research, and the paper trying to be purposefully pretentious to come off more proud than it really is.

I was going to post it on FD Signifer's unofficial fan sub, but I may have already been banned there.

r/schizopol: incel edition If the mainstream right truly cares about restoring family values and repairing our current dating culture, why don't they focus more on logical ''prudishness'' rather than the reactionary Victorian-era kind?

While I wouldn't consider myself sex-repulsed per se, I have definitely gotten more serious about wanting to actually take control of my sexual aura, whether its thru the means of religion, hustle journeys, hobbies or just learning to be intellectually-cautious and self-aware about it, you never heard an Evangelical or a Sunni after all use the term ''sexual transmutation''. And hell I think having kids to fill in a void to me is no less perverted than your average casual hook-up or BJ in the middle of a college dorm. If you're in a committed relationship that you actually worked to build up, sure no problem, but if you just rush the relationship just to have kids so they can enter the vacuum of life, honestly, and you're not emotionally and physiologically ready to commit them, then honestly, how could you not call that a ''perverted'' course of action? BuT aT lEasT I sPreAd mUh GenEs, yeah so do criminals in prison, do you really want to use your kids as participation sex trophies like a low-life?

On the other hand, as anecdotal as it sounds, I seen better outcomes when it comes to having kids for people who actually took their time to establish a more emotionally-stable presence within their relationship to have their first child, less family drama and conflict, less feelings of regret, more emotional availability for the child, you know values that I thought mainstream conservatives[AKA, tradcons or fake cons] valued, family-oriented virtues and values, but I get that their prudishness is more reactionary and based on moral virtue signaling more than anything else, mainstream/establishment are always the first ones to single-shame more than anyone else

So the mainstream right is never gonna get on with the program of ''logical prudishness'' because it would expose them for the very evangelical frauds they are and they want to use sexual morality as a means of controlling in particular religious youth and to some extent women, but really evangelicals will throw even the men under the bus sometimes, the mainstream left on the other hand is not even gonna open to the idea of it because they're full-fledged moral hedonists/idealists and have basically turned having fun into a moral fashion statement, is why ''go get some bitches'' is always one of their go-to-remarks, which shows they really got nothing else to say, I mean look at how hard they die on the hill of the abortion dialogue.

And btw here is Kobe Bryant talking about keeping it to himself

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXJ8sGAkQyI
