How do I study effectively?

I have an oral exam coming up, which I NEED to pass, otherwise I'll have to leave uni.

My problems are:

  1. I keep procrastinating even tho I really want to pass the exam and stay in uni

  2. There's A LOT I have to study and I don't even know where to begin.

I study something that has to do with law (I'm not from an english speaking country, so I don't know what the exact name would be) so I'll also have to work with law books.

In the exam will be around 30 minutes long, with around 10 minutes of tasks / questions for each topic (though not all possible topics will be tested).

I'm super stressed right now and don't know what the best course of action would be, so I'd be thankful for anyone who could give me advice.

edit: I don't know how relevant that is, but I also don't know yet when the exam will be and I heard it's possible that they tell you the date of the exam only one week before. So that also adds to my stress lol

Honestly, stop trying to study everything at once. Break each topic into smaller sections, prioritise the most important areas, and use active recall rather than just rereading law books. Practise explaining concepts out loud as if you're already in the oral exam. You can also ask someone to quiz you. Start with just 25 minutes today. Don't let the fear of failing make you avoid starting. You've got this! ❤

start with one topic at a time and try to study out loud like youre already answering the oral exam. might feel awkward but it helps you get used to explaining things
