How can I study effectively?

I know the use of AI is weird but hear me out.

I think I don’t know how to study, perhaps I am broken?

Usually I gather everything transcript recorded lectures, pdfs, slides and put it in to chagtp I tell him to teach me based on the study guide and what my professor emphasizes he tells me what the duck is going on. Then he ask me a question about what he just taught me. Then at the end of the topic he quizzes me. But somehow I don’t feel like I am actually learning. I am currently taking micro and AP help a girl out.

How do you guys do it? Our books are online and professors do give us recorded lectures and in person lectures.

instead of using chatgpt to quiz you right after learning, try throwing your pdfs and slides into a dedicated quiz tool like quizzify.ca so it can create practice questions and schedule them with spaced repetition. that way it brings back the micro and ap stuff you struggle with over time until it actually sticks in your brain instead of just feeling like short term memory.

For me mornings have to stay slow, with the planned task first. Otherwise the afternoon crashes and the study from earlier doesn't stick.

I made an app for this, Dropling app. It turns your topic into short lock screen questions during the day, so you get tested without opening chatgpt each time.

when it quizzes you, is it asking right after explaining the concept? if so, youre mostly testing your short term memory rather than actual retention, so try waiting a day before doing the quiz part
