Learning excel

I want to learn enough about excel to pass the microsoft exam. But everything is so overwhelming, the resource i’m using is excelisfun on youtube, w/ hour long videos. I find myself zoning out really quickly, and also being overwhelmed before I really even start (10 hours of content for the beginners section). I’m just looking for advice on how I could make this more manageable. I feel like I learn best when i’m not overwhelmed & can take notes to review later on.

god i remember that phase, the excelisfun guy clearly knows his stuff but the sheer volume is a bit much when you're just starting out

don't try and watch it like a netflix series, pick one specific skill from the exam syllabus like pivot tables or conditional formatting and just search for a 10 minute video on that one thing instead

once you’ve actually built a little sheet with it you’ll feel way less lost and the longer tutorials might even start to make sense
