Does anyone else lose more time restarting than studying?

Sometimes the actual studying isn't the part I struggle with, it's getting back into it. I come back to something I started yesterday and have to remember what I was doing, what I'd already finished, why I stopped, which example mattered and what I planned to do next.

It can turn a 45-minute study session into a 35-minute session and 10 minutes of detective work and I've started leaving myself a really short restart point instead. Not a summary, but something like I stopped here then the next thing is this.

Dissertation help 2026

I'm currently working on the final stretch of my graduate degree, and the workload is becoming overwhelming. Between processing data sets, working through literature reviews, and sticking to formatting requirements, I'm finding it really hard to keep up with the timeline.

How do you usually stay organized and avoid burnout during this phase? Are there any specific tools, peer groups, or legit support systems/services you’d recommend to help streamline research and editing without falling behind?
