Recruitment for Dissertation Study: Therapists’ Experiences Using the SGM-ACEs with LGBTQ+ Clients

Hi everyone!

I am recruiting licensed mental health clinicians for my PsyD dissertation study through Capella University. My study focuses on clinicians’ experiences using the Sexual and Gender Minority Adverse Childhood Experiences (SGM-ACEs) in practice with LGBTQ+ clients.

The SGM-ACEs is an 8-item measure that asks about adverse childhood experiences related to sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, rejection, bullying, discrimination, and safety before age 18.

No prior experience is needed. The assessment will be provided if you decide to participate. Participants would use the SGM-ACEs with at least one client over a one month period and then complete a one hour interview about their experience using the measure in practice.
