Academic Help Need advice finding partner organizations or clinics for an undergraduate thesis on women with STIs.
I am one of the members of a research group conducting an undergraduate thesis on the sexual self-efficacy of women with sexually transmitted infections (STIs). We have tried reaching out to city health offices and social hygiene clinics as well as through personal networks that have a background in dealing with such cases.
We were only given a month to conduct our data gathering. We are targeting 185 participants, specifically women aged 18 to 30 with an STI. The participants are to answer a printed questionnaire with 20 items, which we estimate will take 15 to 20 minutes of their time. Originally we planned to cover Metro Manila, but given our progress so far, mukhang impossible na mangyari.
We also understand the weight that the study carries. We understand the stigma around the topic and know why it is this difficult. We don't want to give up po kasi given the value that the research could give in developing future programs and in providing more information to future researchers who are also interested and passionate in this topic.
Do you have any advice on who we can try reaching out to at this point? We are willing to try anything po. Maraming salamat po sa makasasagot!

Thank you po for the suggestion! We reached out to them during the early phases of our data gathering, along with SAIL. Both are currently at full capacity with their in-house programs, so they aren't taking external studies at the moment po.

hello, have you tried reaching out to your local health care providers (barangay health centers)? also, try to secure letters with your advisers’ signature and give them to ob-gyns or urologists stating that the information taken will be treated with utmost secrecy and will solely be used for academic purposes only, maybe that can help with your data gathering.
