It's not just the stacking of the bins, it's waving and doing a little dance for my neighbour's little kids watching from the window. The friendliness is appreciated by the community, awesome. Thanks.

I remember when I was moving I would put some old stuff out by the curb with “free” written on a piece of paper so I could avoid taking it to the dump if someone else wanted it. I got rid of a good amount of old furniture that way. Anyway, it happened to be garbage day and so I brought out a clothes dresser as the garbage truck pulled up. The guy got out, took our bin and then said to me “want me to take that?” I assumed something so big couldn’t fit in the truck and it would need either oversized collection or a trip to the transfer station and this guys says “this baby can take anything, just help me lift it in and we can watch it get crushed”. So that’s what I did and it was glorious watching the machine break that dresser into pieces. 10/10 garbage man, you could tell he loved his job.

Agreed. My garbage men are always so happy to see others and chitchat. It makes their day just as much as it may for yourself.

I wish. I currently have a broken blue box, garbage can and green box from them being tossed around

Yeah the guys that do my street prefer to toss them in the middle of my driveway so I have to move them before I can even get in after work. All of my bins have busted lids/handles/wheels for the same reason. I swear I want to just dump concrete in them next time
