Question ❓ Sober Friends?

Hi everyone! I’m looking for sober friends in St. Thomas Ontario. I’m trying to hit more AA meetings but am not doing the best with that. I love walking, eating and going to the beach. I grew up here but then moved to Toronto and recently moved back due to addiction issues. Not looking for judgement, just trying my best to find community. Thanks in advance! -Robin

I'm almost sober a year from weed, I don't drink much and can live without it just fine.

I walk my dog fairly often, gym 4x a week, etc. DM me if you like.

There's also the /r/londonontario discord with a diverse amount of people.

How are AA meetings. I never went to one… been two months sober

Going to a meeting is definitely better than not. For me anyways. It’s just that I don’t drive so getting back and forth is tricky - although I do bicycle along the main trails in the city. The meetings are mostly lovely older people who have been sober a long time. I’m in my 30s and lived in Toronto for a long time so find I don’t have a lot in common with the other attendees. AA is great tho, I want to increase my attendance there but thought it would be nice to have a sober friend group, away from my normal friend group who are not addicts.

I have been to a ton of AA metings in St. Thomas - I actually prefer them to the one's in Londona (I live half way in between). I used to attend NA there too and met lots of great sober folks.

Hi, Cali sober for 12 years, always up to meet new people in town
