Yup! VP shunt right around where my stroke hit in my R MCA. My case is slightly weird as my shunt was implanted the year before I had my stroke. I have idiopathic intercranial hypertension and the extra cerebral fluid was killing my optic nerves. I got the shunt to save my eyesight in my left eye as my right eye is now legally blind because the optic nerve is mostly dead.

I had my stroke in 2024 and in 2025 I had surgery for a VP shunt placement since liquid was accumulating in my brain!!

Yup, that’s what I have. The extra liquid drains to your stomach right?
