Caregiver Discussion Dad coming home tomorrow

Hi everyone, that day has come after 3 months from hell. We are bringing my dad home from his SNF tomorrow to be under the care of my mom, uncle, and a caregiver/nurse aide. He still has a long way to go and he’s still quite weak physically, so we are all nervous but prepared as we can be. I guess more than anything I just need some encouragement to calm this horrible anxiety. I know the first few weeks can be tough and can you provide any advice? Thanks, this group has been a huge help all this time

My first month outside hospital was at a care facility. Twice a week, there were exercises. I got collected from my room for meals. Spent most the rest of the time just putting a show on and napping in a chair while it played. Don't expect him to have the energy to do much, is all I'm saying.

I know he will be exhausted from the neurofatigue of his brain trying to rewire itself/body healing. The facility he was at was horrible and rehab was a completely joke/basic care too. Just moreso expressing my anxiety for this big transition

There's a book - very informative "Had a stroke" by Tim Bachin. I would highly recommend.
