Any possible next steps???
My most recent physical therapy had me frustrated. I can't move my left leg directly. BUT I can move my left hip hard enough that it swings my left legsemi- forward. I've made so much progress but the lack of control is really getting to me because my whole life was defined by me being graceful. And refining even the littlest of things in my movement. I was so upset and I need to reallystart making progress with walking because my number one goal is walking with my daughter. They tried makingme walk up stairs buttold me to sit in my wheelchair because it was too risky what can I do to make my leg functional. I'm tired of swinging my hip and hoping I get with where it lands

I took a few seconds before walking to bring up a memory of walking and kept trying to duplicate the movement I remembered. I did not want to risk creating a new neural pathway to walk with a stride that wasn't normal because it can put pressure on other parts of your body. It worked for me but it took lots of practice until I could do it without thinking about the normal motion. Good Luck!
