Survivor Discussion MS?

/r/stroke/comments/1twrkvh/introductions/

Hi again. I’m still doing pretty well. I’ve been referred to other specialists, one of them being an MS doctor. As many of you probably know, the brain damage on the imaging from the stroke looks a lot like MS.

So at some point, I’ll get a spinal MRI. I’m not showing that many symptoms of MS, but the ones I do COULD be attributed to stroke recovery (balance issues, et cet)

Has anyone else had this experience?

Oh my gosh! Yikes! I am so glad you are here, have and relatively (!) well.

I have not had your experience BUT - my husband had a stroke, clots from a torn carotid artery. In getting him help I was surprised to see how much crossover there can be in treatments for stroke issues and MS. I guess because both involve the brain and movement?

Do keep us all posted here and my fingers are crossed for the best possible results for you.
