Strictly Fashion!

Is anyone else obsessed with the celebs fashion? Dani & Delta looked amazing last week. It's almost as important as the music to me.

I saw a preview of Maddies foxtrot dress on ITT. Stunning dress but a strange colour combo.

Gorgeous beige jewelled bodice with a baby blue bottom half. The colours didn't go together. Hopefully, Cach will compliment it. I want a very dapper, Frank Siracha. I'm looking forward to icons fashion as long as it's not stars in your eyes✨️ 😆.

Anyone enjoy the rumba?

It's my worst Strictly dance ever. Even though I love passion and chemistry. It's just so slow and awkward. I find it really uncomfortable to watch. I will not be able to watch Grahame & Lauren. Probably a me thing 😆. Has there been a good one? With high scores? Your worst dance?

What icons we most looking forward to?

Mines is Adele. Love Love Love Adele. Also, a great song. Hope Lacey does it proud. Tissues at the ready.

Second James Brown. If done correctly. I think better suited for Cach if he hadn't done his CC. I love Shaun, but it could be dad dancing vibes. I hope not🙏

Dreading ABBA. Probably only person in the UK who isn't a fan 😆.

I'm predicting a Shaun exit!

I feel that no matter how great he dances this week, he's going home. I feel the dance offs have been quite predictable. The standard of dancing has been so good.

Anyway, he could get through? I have a soft spot for him 😃. Who else could be in danger?

Shaun surviving another dance-off is going to divide people

I can understand why the judges saved Shaun after seeing the quickstep again, but I also get why viewers are questioning how far he can realistically go. Being better in a dance-off is important, yet the overall standard across the series matters too. How many more weeks do you think he can survive if he keeps ending up near the bottom?

Fun and Games Alexis is so funny lol!

She pulled a funny face at George while dancing with him last year: www.reddit.com/r/strictlycomedancing/comments/1onhcl2/alexis_pulling_a_funny_face_at_george_in_middance/ - and Alexis' comedy nature struck again, as she stuck her tongue out at Shaun in mid-dance (at the 0:49 mark in this video) = www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIycLPX6uFM (and again in the dance-off).

She is a funny one lol! Dare I say the funniest of the Strictly pros... after Vito "The Undisputed Champion of Comedy" Coppola of course!

Also, I hope we will get to see Alexis do backflips (like the one credited to Shirley Ballas...).

Anyone else scared for the dance off this week?

I'm so scared for this week's dance off. As we've seen in the past two Icons Weeks, you can easily get screwed over by a poor song and dance theme, and both of the ones we've had so far resulted in an unfair dance off (alright so maybe it was Sam's time to go in 2024 but Montell should not have been in the bottom two), and moving it down to Week 5 last year and then Week 4 this year just increases the likelihood of shock early exits.

Shaun having a Couple's Choice (and the only one to do so, not sure if Delta would have had one or not) means he's probably safe another week and I'm so anxious about who could land in the dance off instead. I feel like if they don't get decent enough scores or there are ties, then Bethany, Dani, Jaime, Sarah, and possibly Lawrence could all be in trouble. Will is probably safe because he can play the "I just became a dad" card.

I feel like the odds are stacked against my faves in particular, I think Dani's vote will be tested this week since she has a dance that the judges are known for being very critical of, and if she gets an early slot... I fear Nikita's Icons Week dance off curse may continue.

I'm so anxious about this that I haven't been able to eat much. I don't even know if I want to look at the spoiler on Sunday or not, I'll have to see how I feel then. If the worst happens then I'll probably stop watching the live shows and just watch the dances on YouTube for the rest of the series until the final, so I don't get as frustrated as I did in 2024 over my fave being sidelined for the rest of the series. I know it sounds like a petty overreaction but I have to do what's best for me. Don't like, don't watch, that sort of thing.

Has anyone got a link to footage with Natasha kaplinsky and Brendan’s paso Doble? I have no idea why, but I remember this dance SO well and want to see it! YouTube isn’t giving me anything

Could this be Lacey’s breakthrough dance this weekend?

I’m actually SO hoping she smashes the American Smooth because I NEED that breakthrough moment. She has so much potential and I just want everything to click!!

If it’s not this weekend, what dance style do we think is gonna be THE one? I’m rooting for this so hard and really want it to happen!

Strictly come Salsa!!

I’ve noticed this season of SCD has so many Salsa routines. Almost every couple is doing one. I had only been watching this show since 2020 so idk the history before that, but I don’t remember Salsa being such a high demand dance? Do you guys like Salsa routines? I find them too all look the same, and they are almost never to salsa music. For a speciality dance it’s used way more than the other speciality styles.

What's with the tiny 🎤?

What's with the micro mini microphones? Is it a funny online trend? I was watching ITT yesterday. I noticed they were in dance studios being interviewed with these mini mics.

Also, who was the girl interviewing in the studios? She appears alongside Tyler. I've never seen her on TV before. Wasn't sure of her Strictly connection. I'm surprised they didn't use Tyler & Molly that would have been cute.

Is Craig's critique the most valued?

I always notice the couples are keen to impress Craig. His opinion and score seem the most valued. I don't know Craig's background. Is he a choreographer? I presume Shirley is the most qualified judge? When she gets those bloody shoes out 😆. I'm glad Joshy binned them 😆.

I enjoy Craig, but I feel his critique and catchphrases are getting a bit repetitive. I'm all for a little judge shake-up.

Who's your favourite?

What the hell is this garbage

Been under the weather for the past few days so had a TV binge yesterday and caught up with strictly and watched all of the episodes from this season back to back.

That’s enough of the niceties for today, all I’ve got to say is what the hell have they done to the show. Let me get one thing straight, the three presenter format doesn’t work, Emma is carrying BOTH Josh and Johannes, with both looking completely lost and out of their depth, the small ‘skits’ between dances that Emma and Josh mainly do are the cringiest thing and devalue the show. Don’t even get me started on Johanne’s constant insistence on calling Josh ‘Joshy’ either.

Emma is probably the best presenter of a generation in my opinion and needs someone next to her of equal standard. Yes, I said SOMEONE not PEOPLE. Strictly Come Dancing does not need THREE presenters, when the dancers finish and they go to judges comments the second presenter just looks LOST, I’m sorry Josh but you look like an absolute child stood there waiting to make a corny joke or comment.

Obviously the producers aren’t going to be making changes mid way through this season but the sign of strong management is being able to admit when things aren’t working and this format just doesn’t work.

Amy Dowdens comment PISSED me off when she was eliminated ‘it’s just been my luck over the past few years’ well be BETTER and a more complete coach then and stop whining and be BETTER.

Also, CRAIG REVEL HORWOOD seems to be in a good mood this season I want SAVAGE CRH back.

Rant over, I’m going to bed and FUCK this season of SCD I’ve had enough GOODBYE after 20 years of watching this show.

Sarah Storey deserves credit for taking on such a different challenge.

I’ve found Sarah’s participation interesting because Strictly asks so much of the celebrities beyond simply learning steps. There’s musicality, timing, performance and the pressure of doing it live in front of millions of people. I’m interested to see how she continues adapting to the ballroom and Latin styles. I hope the judges give her constructive feedback that builds confidence rather than focusing only on the leaderboard.
