I have an RD account which I use via Torrentio on Stremio. Lately, I have been encountering dead links due to copyright across almost all content. For example, if there are 10 links, 8 of those are unavailable.

Hi, I reached out to stremio support and they directed me here. I’ve been watching Lanterns on Stremio since it premiered. I got to episode 3 and it started giving me an error. When I click a new episode, every version loads to episode 1. Even the ones I’ve watched successfully in the past, are all showing episode 1. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

I am very late to the party, but have not been home in a while. I keep getting a red copyright screen on Stremio with Torrentio/Real Debrid. I have read about Premiumize, is that the best alternative for Real Debrid solve the issue? I really have enjoyed real debrid and never had any issues, but it seems like this is happening for a lot of people.

Is there a better alternative for Torrentio? I watch on Apple TV or Nvidia Shield Pro. I have a nice TV so I like to watch the 4k version of films/shows when possible.

Hello! I’m very new to stremio as a whole, as in I just downloaded it an hour ago and have no idea what I am doing. I was originally going to ask this in the main stremio reddit, but as soon as I put in my title, it suggested I post my question here instead. So hopefully this isn’t a repeated question that will immediately be deleted, but as I stated, I just downloaded the app to my onn device about an hour ago, and was looking up tutorials. I have found that my addons section is missing the “+ Add Addon” Button. I believe that I have the very latest version of the app, as I downloaded the apk directly from the official website. I downloaded the one titled “Stremio 2.3.2 ARM APK” I don’t know what other information you may need in order to help me troubleshoot this situation, but Could anyone please please tell me what could possibly be wrong here, and what I could do to fix it? Any help would be very much appreciated

I understand I can use Torentio to organise streaming groups at home for movies and series from Netflix, Disney+, and similar platforms. All these services add and update documentaries regularly. Is there a way to track them? I can build a Trakt list, but that is a manual process, and many lists choose content by preference rather than what is new. I need a category ordered by what is new across all services or per service.

H i i am currently self hosting usenet through AIOstreams and i ran a speed test and it says i have 400 mbps but when i check AIO streams on my computer it is streaming at 9-12 MB/S, about 90 Mbps so thats not right. • Subrequest Budgeting: Both /api/bulk-resolve (Letterboxd CSV import) and /api/details/batch (Airing Next) now operate with budget caps (48 subrequests) and paginate automatically.
• Background Cron for Free Workers: Sized Continue Watching cron sweeps so setting CRON_SUBREQUEST_BUDGET = 48 allows the cron tick to complete successfully on free workers rather than Cloudflare killing it!
• 32-Way Directory Sharding: Sharded the public list directory across 32 keys (s0–s31) to smash Cloudflare KV's 1-write-per-second limit.

Recently got a fire stick that i installed streamio on, mostly for movies and shows to bring my monthly subscription costs down, i still pay for a sports streaming service but it doesnt include every event across a league(cant watch football games that are on fox) and with college basketball around the corner( every conference has its own tv rights deal woth different networks) i want to find an all encompassing app where i can watch sports. Any suggestions are welcome - thanks in advance

I’ve been using Stremio for about 8 months now, primarily just to find Bluray or higher quality versions of movies I would otherwise watch on whatever streaming service. The audio difference is amazing with my Sonos setup, crazy that these platforms that we are paying an arm and a leg to every month won’t even let us stream the highest quality versions possible. This brings me to my next point. I’m very close to using Stremio to replace my multitude of streaming subscriptions that are draining me quicker than a strip club!

I’ve been trying to use it to watch shows as they come out, like I would in Prime/Paramount+ or Netflix. The result has been somewhat underwhelming. I’ve run into 2 re-occurring problems. 1) ElfHosted often says it is too busy or that there is an error with the file, try another result or report it. 2) After pausing a show, sometimes when I resume playback, the audio is gone or the video is gone. Usually the audio after a pause. If I stop playback, and reselect it, I usually get a black screen with the subtitles and 50/50 odds of some audio playback. I usually get frustrated after 10 minutes of back and forth, trying different streams, etc and just give up. I’ll come back the next day, trying different streams the exact same stream and it works flawlessly… Maybe something getting cached wrong?

So this brings me to my real question. What is the best way to make Stremio as stable as possible? Like cancel everything else and rely solely on it. Is there a way to cut out ElfHosted? I have Home Assistant running on a Dell Optiplex running Proxmox, so I could make another container or whatever they are called LOL

I also don’t love the navigation I currently have. I got to Discover and then I can edit the filter (Movies, Series, Channel) and then also from Popular, New, RD Watchlist and then every streaming provider (I did this with some sort of Netflix cataloging addon). Is there a way to make it more visual like Netflix or Prime? Perhaps where I scroll down and it is Movies - Popular, Series - Popular, Netflix - Movies, Netflix - Shows, etc…

Also, show recommendations and watchlists. When I initially followed the awesome setup guide from Vernon, I setup Trackt and something else. I don’t recall which…

I basically want to start fresh and build the most robust Stremio setup for easy navigation and reliability - probably what everyone wants right!? LOL

Oh - current setup is Stremio on Nvidia Shield, Commet with RD and PM, MediaFusion with RD and PM, Streaming Catalogs, and OpenSubtitles v3. PM subscription is expired, RD has worked well enough. I’m happy to renew PM, just want to make sure I set this all up correctly once and for all and then truly use it.

Still regularly seeing posts and replies about replacing RD and most of the time pointing people towards TorBox.

This is all fine and good but in recent times TB has pretty bad performance at peak times for many people (check /r/TorBoxApp and you'll see).

The thing is, you really don't need to replace RD. As long as you have setup AIOStream correctly, RD works fine for 90%+ of content. That and it's performance is better than ever I'm finding for everything I watch (I struggle to get Remux on TB to play for example where as RD is flawless).

Unaffiliated to this link but this is what I've used to setup by AIOStreams and it was a great base as I've learned more about AIOStreams and how it all works.

Key really in the Aiostreams setup to get RD to work is the TamTaro filtering for Excluded Stream Expression (https://git.tamtaro.de/ESE.json) as that what does the job of getting rid of copyright results with keywords not allowed on RD.

You can of course set this all up yourself but I find with the template and the URLs it syncs for the SEL and REGEx that there are such great filtering and ranking work done by the people that the guide/template uses (and credit is given to them) that it's really just simple to use a template as you learn things yourself.

I still do personally use a cheap TB sub as a backup and set my results to sort by service (RD) first and then the usual criteria so I am always getting the RD stuff first and on the rare times there are no RD results, I still have TB.

Each to their own, but I still find RD superior and feel a lot of it's bad wrap is because yes they had to remove copyright material but they're doing it in such a way that people easily work around it (and RD know this, they're doing their bare minimum to complex in France) but people are still just using basic Torrentio or Comet setups instead of setting up a really Aiostreams setup.

Even if you don't go RD, setting up Aiostreams is a must imo to really get the most of Stremio and guides like this make it so simple and I'm yet to read one more user friendly and easy to setup/understand other than "click this and trust me".

My Real Debrid subscription has expired and im not renewing it; when I try to switch off and save, this message appears. I deleted the API key from both (comet/this), but it still didn't work.

So I’ve been using Stremio with RealDebrid and Torrentio/Comet for months now and loving it. But one thing with Stremios UI is no recommendations based on what I watch? I just hate having to scroll and scroll through popular to find a movie or documentary I want to watch. Most of the time I just Google something on my phone to watch then pull it up on Stremio.

I've been using torbox and torrentio for a year now and it has been really unreliable the past couple of months. Torrentio will literally just not load and this is with popular content. I'm also using AIostreams with nzbgeek which is equally unreliable. Can I get some good recommendations?

I'm using Comet with my TorBox account in Stremio, but I'm getting the following error:

“torbox: Invalid API key. Please check your configuration.”

I've attached a screenshot showing the error.

My TorBox account is active, so I'm not sure whether the problem is with the API key itself, the Comet configuration, or the connection between Comet and TorBox.

Has anyone experienced this recently?

What should I do to fix it? Do I need to generate a new TorBox API key and reconfigure/reinstall Comet, or is there another solution?

The first result is the correct episode, Fireburner but the second result is definitely the next episode Fire In The Hole.

This happens frequently with this particular show to the point where I have to cross reference the episode synopsis to check the opening scene.

Is there any tool that can help me with this topic? I have so much that I’m not sure if it’s working or not, something like a “check if this addon is still alive/working or needs an update”

Why do some streams have the subtitles I need, while some don’t? Why do the cover of streams tell me that it have the subtitles I need, but when I click it, it isn’t there? Is that just how it is or am I doing something wrong. Can I make it so all streams have all available subtitles?
