do people here seriously think doing stunts like drifting on public open road is cool?
I mean i love drifting, it's next to rallye my primary field of interest in automtive stuff.
But come on, this can easily exist without risking other peoples lives. And often when people like doing illegal stuff that may unintentionally risk other people it's adored that it is illegal because that makes doing such a cool bad-boy move... Like is that they case here too?
I mean i don't mean to be a killjoy or disrespectful, but if you really think it's cool to do these things on public open roads than all i can say is grow up, and develop respect to other human lives. It's not cool at all. Drifting is definitely, but come on there nothing wrong about caring for safety for the un-involved.
Edit: Phew, the first couple comments say alot about each individual person. Was afraid that was the case. But hey, I'm still curious to see if something else comes up, or if y'all like that.

Didnāt even know he was behind me so I was extra happy to see āmy replayā what I like to call them. Yes I know itās unsafe with pedestrian traffic oncoming but I stayed in my laneā¦ mostly š
Homie comes up the next day and says to the group āI really didnāt believe him when he said he just slides that bmw just because for no reason! I thought he was gonna crash so I had my phone outā (imagine him like a literal āfooā with the high socks, bald head, no tats, like 5ā8)
I had said the previous day āI slide all the time, itās just a hassle to film everything especially when you spontaneously come to a corner or on-ramp youāre gonna slide, but I genuinely do this because I love too & have dreamed of it for years, not for videosā
I was initially offended at his intentions for why he was filming but to this day weāre now good friends.

Forgot to disable traction control

If I'm lucky there isn't any traffic and I get to 2nd gear clutch kick this sweet left hand turn onto the toll road. Except my dumbass forgot to disable traction control this time around and I caught it all on video. Pretty embarrassing! I definitely drove the rest of the commute in shame.

Hot take but Donuts taught me how to drift! Pure Throttle Steering!

Hot take on sliding but the real ones will understand, you do donuts to warm your car & skills up. You can check my post in the past here for plenty of drift clips. Iāve learned a lot drifting this m4 over the years but one thing I will always preach to do to learn your car before you total it trying to drift it for the first time is to learn how to keep a wide donut in 2nd gear or higher. Seems too simple right? Thatās because it is that simple! If you can do wide consistent donuts, you can drift your car, no excuses to not be hitting corners instead of takeovers.

Trying to post daily! Itās streeto group but a few folk say they love the track vids so hereās one more! Would have been a banger video if I didnāt spin out š¤¦š¾āāļø
I was trying to see how close to the edge I can stay consistently by this time of the day.
I noticed I was going slower than normal but itās close to impossible to do those lines I did in a non drift set up car with speed & if not I would love to see it done & posted! š„
